We’ve been working on our publication and platform for almost a decade because we deeply believe that the world will be a far more empathetic and collaborative place if we all had the ability to know each other’s stories. The past decade has brought unimaginable challenges along the way, but we persevere because we believe this is mission worth never giving up on. We often are inspired by the folks we’ve featured and their commitment to their respective missions and so we asked some of them to talk to us about this very topic and have share some responses below.

A belief I’m committed to no matter how long it takes is that with hard work, everything will fall into place in its own time. Whether it’s growing my business or growing personally, I’ve learned that good things don’t always come quickly, but they come when you stay consistent and trust the process. Read more>>

A project I’m 100% committed to is capturing life in its most candid nature. I started photography to capture movement and skill in still frame. I learned really quickly that nothing about life is really still – that the magic of photography exists in all the moments in between. After that realization, my work changed to understanding how people exist with each other. Read more>>

My commitment to economic empowerment was born from lived experience—from witnessing how generational struggle and systemic barriers can dim even the brightest of dreams. I’ve seen how a lack of financial knowledge doesn’t reflect a lack of intelligence, but a lack of access. And I’ve felt, deep in my bones, the truth that money is not just math—it’s freedom, safety, dignity, and choice. Read more>>

I’m committed to rebuilding the path to small business ownership—especially in the home inspection industry—so it’s actually accessible for the people who deserve a shot. For a long time, we tried to compete with the legacy franchise systems. You know the ones—charging $40K–$50K just for the entry fee, mostly so they could cut $25K commission checks to franchise brokers. Read more>>

I am committed to improving the lives of corporate employees. As someone who fell a little too deep into the corporate world, I want everyone to understand that you can balance both personal life and work. There is an assumption that corporate work is a bad place and that is not 100% true, especially when everyone can’t easily leave the industry. Read more>>
