We’re looking forward to introducing you to Jamie Seeker . Check out our conversation below.
Jamie, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Lately, it’s been watching my kids step into new seasons of their lives—college, the military, high school and middle school milestones. It brings me a lot of joy (and some humility) to witness their growth and independence. At the same time, I’m soaking up the slower, everyday moments with the younger ones still at home. It’s a full house, but it’s full of meaning, too.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Before starting Seeker Solution, I had been in business operations my entire career. I managed budgets, people, processes, customer service, schedules, etc. for multiple departments and locations. In the last job I had where I worked for someone else, I managed their medical practice and worked closely with vendor accounts and business relationships for the practice as well as networked with other business owners for support. In those circles I was always treated as a peer and respected as the mastermind behind the medical practice, even though I wasn’t a fellow business owner. It was in those circles that I realized for the first time that I was no different from them and that they even looked to me for my opinions and advice just as much as I respected them for theirs. As the medical practice started going through changes and I began transitioning a lot of my responsibilities over to the owner, I began notifying my networks that I wouldn’t be the contact person for some of those responsibilities much longer. This was when I received an overwhelming response from business owners, CEOs (my colleagues) asking what I planned to do in my next steps. I received multiple meeting requests to discuss what it would take for them to get me to work in their businesses. I knew it wasn’t often that business owners created positions out of the blue and asked the candidate what they wanted their salary to be, on a regular basis…let alone multiple business owners. I had interview requests and job offers from people without even having a job defined! I understood then for the first time in my professional life that I had something that companies wanted and all I had to do was figure out what that was, and monetize it. I decided that I didn’t want to pigeon hole myself into another company working for someone else when I was clearly already seen as an expert in business operations. So I did an inventory of my skill sets and bottled them up into solutions that I could sell. That is how the idea for Seeker Solution was born.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
The part of me that equated hustle with worth. Earlier in my career, I carried this belief that being constantly busy proved I was valuable or doing enough. But that mindset no longer serves me—or the kind of leader, parent, or partner I want to be. I’ve learned that clarity, rest, and focused, intentional action are far more powerful than constant motion. It’s still a practice, but I’m learning to let go of busy for the sake of busy.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
You don’t need to do it the way everyone else is doing it. The path you build will work—because it’s yours. Trust your instincts, even when they don’t match the status quo. What feels different now is exactly what will set you apart later.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I’m committed to helping business owners build organizations they actually love—businesses that reflect what they set out to do in the first place. Too many people lose themselves in the chaos of growth, burnout, or survival mode. I want to help leaders create businesses that are healthy, scalable, and aligned with their values—without sacrificing their well-being or the reason they started. It’s not a quick fix. But it’s worth building, even if it takes a lifetime.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
That you don’t always need to change your actions—sometimes, you need to change your goal or mindset. Most people carry guilt or frustration because their behaviors don’t align with what they say they want, but they rarely stop to ask if that goal is still right for them. True clarity comes from accepting that you either need to shift your actions to match your goal, or shift your goal to match what you’re truly willing or able to give right now. Neither is failure. It’s just honest leadership of your own life.
