Meet Wendy Alane Wright

Today we’d like to introduce you to Wendy Alane Wright.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Wendy. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
First of all thank you for inviting me to interview with you, I love the Voyages!

I fell in love with actors at a very young age, everything about television and movies fascinates me. The storytelling, the directing, locations, sets, wardrobe and of course the actors! After college and a 10-year professional singing career, I moved to Los Angeles and became a Talent Agent and then a Manager. It was a great joy helping people fulfill their dreams to be in TV and Film. My clients worked in shows like “Modern Family,” “The Colony,” “Blackish,” “American Horror Story” and thousands of commercials and films.

After spending 2 decades as a Rep in Hollywood I realized, unfortunately, that the majority of actors who look for representation are rejected by Agencies because they submit when they are not ready and they submit terrible amateuristic materials. All the Agents and Managers I know just toss the bad submissions in the trash and never explain to the actors why they are being rejected. They are not teachers and don’t have time to teach tens of thousands of new actors each year how the business works.

And yet the problem remains; Actors don’t understand the business of acting.

It breaks my heart to see so many talented people with dreams fail. I believe if actors know better, they can do better so I started a You Tube Channel called “Secrets Of A Hollywood Talent Manager” and for 7 years I explained what actors needed to know from a Manager’s perspective. The channel grew so popular that I could not keep up with the demand and amount of questions actors were hungry to have answered.

To solve that problem, I created a Facebook group called Talent Managers For Actors and invited 100+ of my closest Agent, Manager and Casting Director friends into the group to volunteer and help answer questions with me. Today we have about 66,000 actor members and over 250+ Industry pros giving honest guidance and advice to up and coming new artists. We are the most powerful Hollywood Industry Facebook group in existence. I am so happy actors have this kind of revolutionary resource because actors in the past never did.

Has it been a smooth road?
Actors face so many obstacles. It is one of the hardest professions on the planet to get into and the odds are stacked against them. There are 3,000-5,000 submissions for just one (1) role. The competition is fierce so actors really need to know exactly what they are doing if they want to stand out, get representation and make a strong impression when they get into the casting rooms. Unfortunately, the business of acting is not commonly taught in acting schools or MFA University programs so actors leave schools with big dreams and no business tools to actually achieve an acting career.

I watched actors fail left and right because they have no idea how the business works or what agents and managers need from them in order to help build their careers. Hollywood is also a predatory market with scammers everywhere taking advantage of these confused hopefuls with dreams of stardom in their eyes.

I decided this had to stop. I needed to put an end to the rampant scams and help these actors succeed by giving them real information they could trust and teaching them what agents and managers do with our signed clients.

I created Hollywood Winners Circle Academy an online school that teaches actors the facts about the business, how to be marketable and sell themselves in this industry. Now they don’t have to guess anymore or make expensive mistakes that can cost them years of wasted time and emotional disappointment.95% of actors fail and go home, now they don’t have to!

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Hollywood Winners Circle Academy, LLC – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
The Hollywood Winners Circle Academy (HWCA) has built a reputation as the premier Show Business training in the world. HWCA is now recommended by Talent Agents, Managers and Casting Directors as a necessity for actors. Our innovative courses are designed to bring actors quickly to marketable status making them some of the most sought-after actors in the talent pool.

This year HWCA students have signed to Talent Agencies and appeared in hundreds of films and television shows including “The Umbrella Academy,” “Orange Is the New Black,” “Love Victor,” and “The Gentlemen.”

Doctors have Med School; Lawyers have Law School and now actors have The Hollywood Winners Circle Academy.
