Meet Pebbles Weitekamp of LITTLE TEETHER in Gilbert

Today we’d like to introduce you to Pebbles Weitekamp.

Pebbles, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Hello! I’m Pebbles and I’m the founder/owner/shipper/photographer/designer/etc. of Little Teether.

I got married at Disneyland in 2010, and with planning my dream wedding I wanted to make as much of the items for my wedding as I could. With that, I created a few items that I couldn’t find readily available online for other brides, that is how I started selling handmade items on a little website called Etsy.

Since then I had my first child. When she yanked off (and broke!) my favorite Tiffany & Co necklace that I had since high school, I realized I was a mom now, and moms can’t wear nice things with babies. Think spit up, leaky diapers, hair down, and jewelry! I then decided moms CAN be fashionable with function for baby, and this is where Little Teether began!

Adding two more children to the mix, we have expanded our collection, adding teething toys! All of the teething toys I have personally hand drawn them on the back of my kiddos coloring sheets, and from there they have transformed into something amazing! We continue to be inspired by our own children and yours, and can strive to be your go-to brand for all-things-teething!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
There are always struggles when working for yourself, especially as a stay at home mom. I constantly battle work/life balance.  I battle with trying to be at 10 places at once and wearing all the hats that being a momprenuer gives you!

Please tell us about LITTLE TEETHER.
Little teether is a teething brand for babies and mamas. We create trendy and modern necklaces for moms to wear, babies to chew on. We also create on trend teething toys for babies! Our cactus toy is definitely a huge hit here in Arizona. We are known for our fun shaped toys and super cute (I didn’t know this was for babies!) necklaces.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I still struggle with this. But if I could, I would focus more on big picture (growth, brand development, research) and less on the everyday (emails, orders, basics). It’s so easy to get caught up with the day to day and get into survival mode and not really spend enough time on growing the company.
