Meet Nikki Green

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nikki Green.

Nikki, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My parents have always been my main motivation. Losing my mother at a young age of 13 then seeing my father never not be there for my sister and I. And continue to push through after losing his lover, partner and other half pushed me to be strong as well, always strive, and NEVER give up. I’ve always been a goal-oriented person ever since I could remember as well as always being very social/outgoing and motivated. Modeling, entertaining, music, fitness etc. are things that have always caught my attention and I knew I wanted to be involved with that type of lifestyle as an adult. I’ve done endless video shoots, photoshoots, I’ve made music, I was a certified fitness trainer, I’ve booked celebrities, planned events, co-owned a clothing line, sold merchandise for several businesses, etc all done as a self-made entrepreneur… I remember, back in ‘myspace’ days when taking selfies, picking songs for my profile, redesigning my page and adjusting my top friends list weekly and accordingly (lol) was always part of my day kinda like a job but obviously, then I wasn’t getting paid from it.

Even though I was popular then and had a lot of friends more than the average person at my age would have, as well as being social and providing new content daily and knowing the ‘secret codes’ no one else knew on different ways to design your page, and always keeping it fresh, it was all a hobby for me at that time something I actually enjoyed AND got recognition from. So when Instagram came out and me obviously being older now I already knew this was my type of platform. I knew I wanted to make my Instagram beneficial, not just another app I’m spending time on daily for fun but to show my creativity and be another income for me. I looked at it as a way to get paid easily.

As soon as I turned 21 and my followers were in the ‘k’s’ I began promoting for clubs, concerts, etc, all around Arizona simply because my following and the content I had on my page. Promoting opened a whole new door for me. Networking at these events being the “plug” for other people learning how to plan events and simply just seeing how your reach on platforms can impact a lot financially as well as socially. Also, being able to say an app is your second income is a cool feeling. Promoting turned into bottle service, then bottle service turned into booking entertainment for the clubs. I always told myself to make it a goal to keep moving up no matter what I’m doing, which is exactly what I did.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I would say for the most part, my journey in the industry has been smooth. Of course, there’s always struggles or hiccups but they always result in your learning growing and a new door opening up. There’s have been times where I’ve gotten denied or a situation didn’t work out how I expected but never not once did it stop me. If anything, it just made me more hungry.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
My motto has always been “limitless” I’ve always said I can do anything, and I’ve always told myself that fear doesn’t exist so no matter what it is if I have an interest in it I’m going to try it. I’ve made songs, done music videos, planned events, booked artist that I grew up literally idolizing and here I am booking them or at their concert backstage & having full-on conversations with these people. I branded myself because I’ve always known MY worth. A lot of people ask where I get my nickname, Stikki Green, from. Well back in high school, one of my hobbies… let’s just say included both sticky icky and green LOL, nickname being; Stikki Green I guess it just STUCK (pun intended). So I made sure to make my name my brand. It got me a long way, simply just being me and not being afraid.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My plans for the future, of course, are to just be successful and feel like I can say I made it. I’ve been thinking a lot about becoming an event planner. I feel like it would fit me perfectly because of how social and involved I am and also the experience I’ve already had. But the main goal, in the end, is to just be happy.
