Today we’d like to introduce you to Leif Lewis.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’m a freelance graphic designer, illustrator, 35mm photographer, and occasional traveler. I’m based in Mesa. I’ve been drawing all my life but it was after living in Europe for a couple years I got serious about that and design in general.
It’s something I love and take great care while crafting logos or whatever design need a client may have. I’ve been able to grow and develop my style through backpacking and traveling through many beautiful and unique places shooting street photography and street art with 35mm film.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It definitely hasn’t, is anything ever a smooth road? Haha, one issue or struggle is the anxiety about “if you’re good enough” or “is this how they want??” Which is just me being super critical but it’s something I feel a lot of creatives have when publishing an Instagram post or submitting a final design to a client.
In the end, I’m my own worst enemy in that regard — that and trying to get noticed as one people can go to or collaborate with for designs or graphics. Building up oneself professionally can be pretty hard, but it is what it is.

I’m all about custom graphics, illustrations, and logos. I love street art and traditional tattoos, so I feel a lot of my inspiration comes from those aspects. With my own style, so that’s where I feel I differentiate from other people.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Just building on what I’m doing. More collaborations, bigger companies to design for and soon my own T-shirt company. It’s something that’s been in the works for a while and something I’ve always wanted to do so it’ll be rad when I finally get to printing my own stuff
