Today we’d like to introduce you to Janelle McCain.
Janelle, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I was born in Alexandria, Virginia and raised in Peoria, Arizona. As a small child, I was always very shy and not a very social person. Until my mother, Jaylisa decided to put me into pageants, later competitive dancing, and later modeling to try to help build my confidence. I have been in the entertainment industry since 2003 and graduated from Barbizon Modeling School in 2009. There were many obstacles that I had to overcome, but every day I am still learning on how to better myself with my peers. In 2015, I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Arizona State University to help me in furthering my goals and dreams.
At age 13, my mother and I started our first company, Enchanted Evermore, which was a tutu making company that focused on making little girls feel special and like a princess. With this company, I was able to teach my high school how to make tutus to sell in the school store so I could leave my footprint. In 2012, we created another company called Ultimate Elite Pageants, which is a beauty pageant that has an emphasis on doing community service, helping others, and “empowering through inspiring.” Making a positive difference in the world was always something that my mother and I wanted to do, so we decided to create the pageant system to give other like-minded ladies (ages 7+) the opportunity to do that with us. In 2020, I launched my own company called JNM Talent, which focuses on helping and teaching aspiring models and pageant contestants to learn more about the industry and help them in finding their “inner beauty, confidence, and self-love.”
Has it been a smooth road?
There are many challenges and obstacles that can happen within the fashion and entertainment industry, but the biggest one is effective communication. We have noticed people getting upset or discouraged only because of a misunderstanding or being afraid to ask questions. JNM Talent encourages you to ask questions so everyone is fully comfortable with the class, runway, photoshoot, or opportunity that we are at. We are here to help people interested about the industry become more familiar with it, so they can grow themselves successfully within the industry.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with JNM Talent Consulting – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
JNM Talent was created to teach aspiring models and pageant contestants on how each of the industries works. Each of our students are taught through the experiences of other professionals within the modeling and pageant industries. JNM Talent will hold workshops, seminars, Bootcamp, themed photoshoots, fashion shows, charity galas, and individual coaching sessions.
All of our courses are designed to teach and prepare each of our clients from the basics to actually getting hands-on experience through our company. All clients will start in our beginner courses, then move on to our intermediate courses, then advanced courses, and lastly receiving their hands-on experiences. The modeling and pageantry courses are separated and any of our clients are able to attend as many classes that they want.
After fully completing the Bootcamp courses held through JNM Talent, some of the new talents will become a part of our JNM Model program. Our program for the JNM Models is full of modeling opportunities, such as runway, photoshoots, and much more.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
JNM Talent loves in having the opportunity to teach new and experienced models about the industry and show them the way in furthering their modeling career or pageantry opportunities. We were created to be that positive in-between place for both models and pageant contestants so they feel comfortable and confident before being on set or stage.
Something that JNM Talent does not tolerate is putting others down. Both the fashion and entertainment industries have their ups and downs, but at JNM Talent, we are here for you to “Find your: Inner Beauty, Confidence, & Self-love.”
