Today we’d like to introduce you to Corbin O’Reilly.
Corbin, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
When we began the business in San Diego, it was quite the learning experience. From beer systems to liquor laws, to our truck build and all the marketing in between. Our first vehicle began with a wad of cash and a trip up to Los Angeles. To which we brought a 1952 Chevrolet Panel truck home and began all types of bodywork to it. The original Tap Truck was coming to life!
What began as our love for craft beer and classic cars grew and grew into what we call Tap Truck today. Tap Truck is a mobile bar ready to serve drinks via a beer truck! We can tap beer, wine, cider, cold brew coffee, root beer for the kids to be a major cater hit at weddings, corporate events, or even private parties.
We have traveled all of the states all ready in our short company history to launch other Tap Truck locations. Tap Truck New England, Tap Truck North Carolina, Tap Truck New Orleans, and not to mention California which houses 7 Tap Truck bases itself!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The road has been windy at times, or loaded down a bit, literally with beer!
In growing our mobile beverage brand, one challenge has been letting people know that beer trucks do exist. They see it, and they fall in love instantly, not knowing something could be so refreshing and loveable at the same time. So keep telling your friends they need something memorable for their next party. We always fuel a good time!
In the Arizona heat, it can be tricky serving a cold beer, so we really had to build and test out some tricks to keep the pouring beer cold. Thank goodness Tap Truck USA held some good contacts for some beer system knowledge.
We’d love to hear more about your business.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up on a ranch. There was one truck that I learned to drive, at age 8. It was a Chevy Square body we called the “Grey Truck.” This truck got us everywhere all over the property. I remember when we first painted it grey, and it looked so good! The best of times I had cruising around in this truck, loading it with hay, tools and good times with my family. It was a lead into the love of trucks and working on them that I have had since.
