Today we’d like to introduce you to Colleen Eberle.
Hi Colleen, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
As a child, my parents always thought it was important that I grow up with a family pet so I would learn to love, care for and respect animals. As an adult, this love and respect guided me into the world of animal rescue. With over 20 years of rescue experience, I have seen the best in humans and the truly ugly side of humans. It gives me both fulfillment and heartbreak and sometimes all at the same time. Some of the featured photos are from rescues over the years.
My love of animals carried over into my personal businesses. First, it was reflected in the handmade jewelry I created. Then, as I began my journey as a mobile notary I soon realized that my connection with animals made me distinctively unique from most notaries. I became “The Pet Friendly Notary” who wanted the family pet on my lap (see the featured photo of the lap cat) versus insisting that they be kenneled during the home visit. I absolutely love meeting the family pets and I have captured some of the most incredible photos of them along the way. Nothing puts a family at ease like seeing the new visitor in their home on the floor cuddling with their fluffy family pet. If their pet approves of me then I must be okay!
I took my experience as an animal rescuer, foster pet parent and traveling pet mama and put my knowledge into organizational checklists that can be found on Amazon. “The Pet Travel Checklist for Cats and Dogs”, “My Foster Family Record Keeper” and “The RV and Camper Checklist” (and many more!) are all based on real life knowledge and are geared towards helping those who may be seeking help in the organizational department.
Wherever else life leads me, I’m confident that animals will always guide me through inspiration.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The biggest and most heartbreaking challenge has been walking through life with my eyes wide open to the world of animal cruelty. I will never be able to wrap my head around why it exists in the first place. I’m often told, “You can’t save everything” and I will dedicate my life to trying to prove them wrong.
Animals deserve nothing but love and kindness. They are the purest of love and it should to be cherished, held closely to your heart and respected. We would be in a very different world if it were run by animals vs humans.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Notarized with CONFIDENCE is my mobile notary business serving the Chandler, AZ area. My passion towards animals is evident in my interactions with family pets during the notary appointments. I often hear that a person’s treatment towards animals is a reflection of their character, values, empathy and compassion. This is a quality I’m extremely proud of.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I have a very fun loving, goofy personality. If you combine that with my love of animals then all is good in the world of my clients and customers. When I walk into someone’s home and their dog runs up to me with what I call a “wiggle bottom” versus barking or growling at me, the homeowner(s) feels at ease.
I’m also insanely organized. You could jokingly say that I’m “world famous” for it and this skillset keeps me on track with my businesses.
