Meet Beth Griffith in Mesa

Today we’d like to introduce you to Beth Griffith.

Beth, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
If you’re a business owner, you know at your core that what you sell makes a difference in the world – otherwise, you wouldn’t have gotten to the point of starting a business around it. But these days, it’s really difficult to stand out in what can feel like an overcrowded marketplace. The world of Social Media & Online influence has transformed the game of business in a big way – and where businesses used to be able to incorporate details into their brick and mortar stores or catalogs that created an experience, we have a similar opportunity online as business owners.

We can create an experience – though it takes ongoing intention and mental stamina to continue to show up to provide that consistent experience day after day for years. But I do believe that it’s possible when we tap into who we are at our core, and lean into the strengths we have to sell the things we sell. I was 13 when I was first diagnosed and put on a medication for depression – meaning I’ve spent nearly 20 years on the depression roller-coaster and have seen that there are incredible resources and products out there to help people like me.

And what’s interesting is that so many of the products and services have nothing to do with mental health – they’re seemingly random things like a bar of soap, a sit-com or a shirt in a beautiful color.

See, in someone’s darkest moment, I believe to my core that a product or a service can be the thing that creates the pattern interrupt that can save lives – and so I’ve made it my mission to help people sell products to moms that can make a difference in their struggles with isolation, overwhelming to-do lists and feelings of failure.

And that’s my professional mission: To help more businesses sell more (life-saving) stuff to Moms, by helping them create experiences with their brands that help their businesses thrive & succeed.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I’ve had SO MANY obstacles and challenges, but there is the most notable one. I opened a co-working center in Mesa in December 2018 to help accomplish my mission, and within a few months my health began to fail, and I was being diagnosed with a seizure disorder.

I had major memory lapses where days at a time would be missing from my memory. It was awful, and I felt like I was constantly failing everyone around me, and some people feel that I did. It has been hard to go from being an incredibly driven person to feeling so helpless.

I had to let go of employees, and dramatically pivoted everything that I do to account for it, and my business took major financial hits due to not being able to complete projects. But with help from an amazing Naturopath, I’ve been able to address the root of it and begin healing.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
I am a Brand Strategist for businesses that sell to Moms – helping them connect through advertising opportunities, social marketing strategy and business coaching. I have been able to build a six-figure business as a mom of two young kids, and am masterful with developing frameworks and systems to help brands to get better results with their marketing and clients or customers.

I’ve developed my Brand Archetype method that helps businesses to identify the type of experience that they want to deliver to create messaging on an unconscious level that manages expectations and attracts the right clientele.

What have been some of the most important lessons you’ve learned over the course of your career?
If I had to start over, I would celebrate my wins and understand that it takes a lot of grit and patience to succeed. I would stop focusing on the fact that I felt I should be further along, and enjoy the process of where I was at.
