Today we’d like to introduce you to Alex Pernicka.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Alex. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Growing up I always wanted to be a police officer. I always wanted to be able to help people. I grew up went to school for criminal justice and started doing ride along. I realized quickly that it was not what I always thought it would be. My Grandfather owned a plumbing company and my father as well. I always grew up plumbing and helping on summer break and working with my father as a kid. So naturally, I fell back into it. At the time I was a supervisor for a vending company working on installing 650 RO water systems for local hospitals. On the side, I would just do plumbing calls here and there for my dad. I realized if I worked hard and started my own company it would benefit me greatly. So for three years, I work med two jobs my regular job and plumbing every day after until I got busily enough to break away. It took a lot of hard worms but I haven’t looked back. Working for yourself is the best thing you can do.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Money and time. Hoops to jump through. Doubt and anxiety.
Please tell us about your company.
My company is a plumbing remodeling company. I do full service plumbing but I mostly like doing remodels and projects that scare me a little! Get the blood flowing.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I want to slowly keep growing my business without getting greedy and be able to give back to my community.
