Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road—and I think that’s what makes this journey so meaningful.
Like many business owners, I’ve faced seasons where bookings were slow, moments of self-doubt, and times where I questioned if I was doing enough or doing things “right.” There were beginner mistakes—like learning the hard way about branding, using original content, and truly understanding the level of detail this industry requires.
I’ve also experienced what it feels like to put your work out there and be criticized, or to compare yourself to others in the same space. That can be tough, especially when you’re building something from the ground up.
On top of that, balancing being a mom, a wife, and a business owner hasn’t always been easy. There are long nights, early mornings, and a lot that happens behind the scenes that people don’t see—from cleaning and sanitizing to planning and problem-solving.
But every challenge taught me something.
It taught me to trust my vision, to stay consistent even when things feel quiet, and to keep showing up—because growth doesn’t always happen loudly.
Most importantly, it strengthened my faith and resilience. I truly believe this business was placed in my heart for a reason, and even in the slow seasons, I’ve remained obedient to that vision.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned along the way is the importance of trusting my own vision.
In the beginning, it’s easy to look at what everyone else is doing, compare your journey, or try to follow what seems like the “right” way to grow. But I realized that what makes Slumber Happy special is the heart, creativity, and intention behind it—and that only works when I stay true to what was placed in me.
I’ve also learned that consistency matters more than perfection. There were seasons where things felt slow or uncertain, but showing up anyway—refining, learning, and continuing to serve—made all the difference.
Another major lesson was understanding the value of my work. This business isn’t just about teepees or décor—it’s about creating meaningful experiences and giving families moments they’ll never forget.
