Today we’d like to introduce you to Paul Paliulis
Hi Paul, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Growing up in the tranquil Lithuania countryside, I have incredibly fond memories of the annual caravan of bikers that would ride through our town each Spring. The thunderous roar of engines and intoxicating smell of gasoline had me hooked instantly. It was then and there that my passion for motorcycles was born. Not long after, my family moved to Chicago Illinois and my father delivered the surprise of a lifetime by gifting me a 125cc Yamaha TTR. My younger brother and I rode that bike into the ground but also taught ourselves how to maintain and repair it. As I grew older and wiser, I was fortunate enough to buy, sell and ride several Harley Davidson models including a V-Rod, Street Glide and Dyna Street Bob. After graduating high school, I knew that my only destiny was motorcycles and so I packed up and headed West to attend the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute here in Phoenix. I graduated in 2019 and immediately convinced my brother to do the same. He just completed the program this year and was the first to remind me of our childhood dream of owning and running our very own shop. Unreal Motorsports is now open in Phoenix AZ catering to motorcycle junkies like ourselves, fueled by a lifetime obsession and dedication to all things moto.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road less traveled is usually anything but smooth. As we embarked on this adventure, the obstacles and challenges seemed infinite. Our single greatest roadblock was finding an ideal location that could be made available and ready in less than a year. After searching high and low, we found the perfect spot and were able to get to work on building and remodeling the space to realize our vision.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Every bike that we build, service or touch is 100% done as though it was our very own creating an everlasting bond. That leaves our friends and customers knowing that we are giving them the very best in quality and craftsmanship that we possibly can.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my favorite (and scariest) memories growing up was actually my first collision. It’s something I can never forget and serves as a constant reminder for me to never underestimate the power and fury of a motor between two wheels,
