Conversations with Diana Loaiza

Today we’d like to introduce you to Diana Loaiza.

Hi Diana, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My passion for the arts has helped me connect to my inner self and has helped me be the person I am today and what I want to create/bring into our world.

I wanted to continue throughout my college career, but unfortunately, the Academy I was accepted to was much more expensive than what my family could afford so I changed careers and completely believed that was the end of my art career.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?

As school began, I quickly found a job that took away all my afternoons, and all the free time I had for drawing was taken up with school work.

When modeling became an opportunity for me it was difficult for my family to see how I could handle everything and start this new “hobby.”

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?

While debating on the themes for upcoming photo sessions I was always the one in control of the era and wardrobe. Not only would I encourage photographers to try new concepts but I would also be in charge of my makeup which always helped the image I envisioned come to life.

I want to show the diversity of modeling and the power of women within it– with no need of modifications nor shame of our true bodies.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?

Time flies and there is no way to stop it, therefore having a good schedule with everything necessary to have a healthy and productive day is a must.

As I am modeling, I am also a student who has a job and sometimes I struggle to keep up with everything and have the motivation to take care of myself.

However, my love for dressing up and simply having a calm morning to do my eyeliner in peace makes a whole difference in my day.

Therefore, being dedicated to working hard and making things you love part of your day can really give you that confidence to keep going. Modeling helps me have a break from the routine, and sometimes even opportunities to explore a new city. I can not wait to discover what concept we will explore next and the outfit I will get to create!
