Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Elliott.
On a shopping trip to Costco, Sarah found a glass bead kit and thought it would be fun to make beaded jewelry for her two daughters. What became a fun idea turned into a passion. And with support from her friends and family, Sarah Elliott established Sarah Elliott Jewelry in February 2000. With a background in interior architecture, many of the design principles in her 14 years of practice have carried over into her jewelry as a form of art. Principles such as form follow function; as well as, composing designs that balance size, shape, and color. All of which are essential in creating Sarah Elliott Jewelry’s unique designs. Additional attributes important to her designs include an attention to detail and the quality of craftsmanship in each and every piece.
We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
My jewelry inspiration comes from my innate sense of design that stems from my background in interior architecture. I tend to let the materials I use to speak for themselves, and thus my plans have a simplicity to them. Many customers have described my jewelry as “simple elegance.” I pride myself on the number of return customers I have and the quality of my product.
What do you know now that you wished you had learned earlier?
Always keep learning and challenge yourself to think outside the box.

I have a website and participate in art shows, which are listed on my website. I also have a product in a few retail boutique stores.
