Today we’d like to introduce you to Ron Dean
Hi Ron, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Ronald Dean, and I would consider myself a SME (subject-matter-expert) on flavorful culinary experiences! Currently I am venturing into manufacturing my unique sauce and expanding my food content creations. In early 2018, I took my passion and love for cooking and opened my first restaurant in Queen Creek, Arizona featuring Chicago style dishes. Due to COVID-19 I had to close the doors of my restaurant however, my secret sauce that quickly became a staple in my restaurant was still being requested by past customers. This led me to venture on to start producing my 606 Sauce™ for retail sale. From there I went on to rebrand myself through another medium and dove into elevating traditional recipes with my eclectic flair through catering and a featured social media page. Through my passion to enrich people’s taste buds and their gastronomic experiences I created “Fingers, No Forks” ©, where I focus on a fusion of altering and simplifying the way that traditional food is prepared and eaten as finger-foods.
My passion lies in inventing new tastes, smells, and memorable experiences from the good ole’ comfort foods that my grandmother used to make.
FingersNoForks© is a food blog dedicated to sharing recipes and food ideas that emphasize the joy of eating with your hands during communal and social experiences, just like my ancestors! The concept behind the blog is to promote a more intimate and tactile dining experience, while creating an association with quick and fun collective time with community.
I started the platform to create a community around my love of good food and embracing the diaspora of indigenous cultures that partook in communal eating as ways to connect with each other. I want to offer a space where people can find unique and exciting recipes that encourage a hands-on approach to dining. The FingersNoForks© blog aims to breed and inspire creativity in the kitchen while bringing people together through a shared experience through food.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, the road has not been easy. I have encountered obstacles and challenges along the way. Financial assistance to support a small business has presented as as struggle. During the time I opened my restaurant I had to use my personal savings towards the startup and monthly expenses incurred.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
In addition to my culinary expertise I also work in administration within the medical field. Having this dual expertise makes me unique because I bring precision and attention to detail as a skill set that I apply while working in a medical financial setting.
I’m a chef that specializes in preparing unique foods and creating sauces that compliment all types of dishes. What sets me apart from other chefs, cooks, and sauce companies is my distinctive ability to craft sauces that elevate the dining experience making my offerings truly stand out. I focus on ensuring both excellence and creativity in everything I do. My ability to excel in what I have a passion for sets me apart from others.
What’s next?
Plans for the future include featuring my sauces (606) in stores nationwide and FingersNoForks© becoming a household name sooner than later! I am in the process of getting a food truck so I will be able to canvas the valley and other states to share my culinary creations.
