Today we’d like to introduce you to Sharelle Wilbert. 

Hi Sharelle, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started doing photography over 12 years ago! I remember taking a few college courses and struggling as a new artist. I struggled with lighting, quality, and posing techniques. My first camera was an Olympus with a super small screen! It wasn’t the greatest but it was everything to me. 

I studied some of the photographers I looked up to and watched tons of YouTube videos. I still learn from YouTube today! With practice makes perfect but you can never be perfect because perfection doesn’t exist! Make goals and crush them. 

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Definitely hasn’t been a smooth road lol. I struggled with how to actually run a Photography business as well as building my clientele. 

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My business is Shot By Sade Photography. I specialize in fashion, beauty, creativity, and portrait photography. I’m known for color and producing quality work. 

I’m most proud of honestly getting my name out there! At times it’s hard to get notice because photography can be so competitive! 

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I recommend anyone who is starting a business to find a mentor. Having a mentor can save you a lot of stress.
