Art & Life with Ori Eisen

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ori Eisen.

Ori, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
I came the US in 1991 with $1,000 in my wallet. Went to school in NJ and worked four jobs until I graduated with a Marketing degree and minor in computer science. Moved to San Francisco and got into the Silicon Valley tech scene. I was then offered a job at American Express in Phoenix, and got here in 2002.

After American Express I started a company called 41st Parameter and it was acquired by Experian in 2013. I was in between jobs and found the local coffee shop, to hang out at.

Slowly, I began giving them business ideas, until they offered me to become a partner. Today I own the store and rebranded it to Lakeview Coffee.

My day job is running a new technology company since 2015, called Trusona. Its mission is to get rid of passwords.

I fell in love with the specialty coffee business, and proud to own a store that aims to be the #1 coffee house and roaster in town.

We feature local artists on our walls, and I would suggest you take a look at Seth Gordon, who is a hidden gem.

Can you give our readers some background on your art?
I would share my charity, which is Ball To All. I provide soccer balls to kids who can not afford one all over the world. I do this for the last 6 years, and it brings much joy to many.

What responsibility, if any, do you think artists have to use their art to help alleviate problems faced by others? Has your art been affected by issues you’ve concerned about?
The role has not changed, and if anything it is more needed than ever. Through art we can convey ideas and evoke change.

What’s the best way for someone to check out your work and provide support?
