We’re looking forward to introducing you to William Turner. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning William, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? Have you ever been glad you didn’t act fast?
Of course, it’s very rare that any decision needs to be made immediately. It’s better to make decisions and take appropriate action after some deliberation and thought. And lot of times in business, especially, taking no action is the best action. I think we’ve been somewhat condition to believe that making decisions in haste and acting on pure instinct is more beneficial than carefully weighing all your options, conducting proper analysis, and ensuring the decision you make is the right one.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I try to stay true to who Ive always been as much as I can, but society-and the process of growing older and maturing-has dulled some of the carefree traits I had when I was younger. Things like being more adventurous and less worried about failure and consequences. There was a time when life was simply about having fun and living in the moment. I believe the world often pressures us to grow up, and while some of that is necessary, I do my best to hold on to the free-spirited version of myself as much as possible.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There have been many times Ive almost given up on different things in life, but giving up has never truly been an option. There are too many possibilities, and growth often comes from even the hardest experiences-including failure.
When I was traveling as a chef, living in a different city every six months and unsure of what was next, there were definitely moments when I wanted to give up. But deep down, I always knew there was a solution, and that things would eventually work out if I kept trying to be the best version of myself each day. That meant working on myself, learning as much as I could about my craft, and developing qualities that weren’t as strong as others-while keeping faith that the universe would meet me halfway.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say my family and friends matter to me the most. If feel like its important to be there for them as much as I can. Being present and supportive is just who I am.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
I think people may misunderstand why I gave everything my all and took so many risks. It might have looked. like I was being intense or doing to much, but for me, it never felt like a choice. I believed it was my responsibility-not anyone else’s- to create the life I wanted. So I pushed hard, because I knew no one was going to hand it to me.
