Story & Lesson Highlights with Talisa Ordaz

We recently had the chance to connect with Talisa Ordaz and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Talisa, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ince breaker: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
Just had to share this—
I recently completed a project with the most badass team of creatives. The shoot was for Ginger Hamilton, Owner & Designer of Ginger CC. We pulled off her campaign shoot with so much heart, everyone knew their lane—and everyone delivered. Everything flowed. Nothing felt forced.

I’m honestly so damn proud of every single person who showed up and made it what it was.
And you know what? I’m proud of myself too. I stayed calm, clear, and fully locked into the vision we wanted to bring to life.

Looking back, I’ve realized every ‘yes’ is a chance to pack an experience with trust, good energy, and real magic.

At the end of the day, when I’m around people who actually get it and want to win together—work stops feeling like work. That is why I’m confident about what I do and proud of the woman I’ve become through it. I’ve built this with intention, and the way I show up for my clients reflects that.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hey! I’m Talisa, but most people call me Isa. Muse Haus is my creative house — I craft identity-led editorial imagery and video through creative direction, strong communication, and practices that keep the process clear, collaborative, and intentional.

Real talk: your visual identity should feel real — not staged or fake-perfect, just honest and bold enough to stand out. My work bridges strategy with identity. Whether it’s a solo portrait session or a full brand campaign, I’m here to make sure what we create actually feels true to you and what you stand for. I’ve built this from the inside out. Every client relationship is personal. Every project is a reflection of the deeper work — not just how you want to be seen, but how you see yourself.

What makes what I do different? It’s that mix of intention and gut instinct. I’m not here to crank out cookie-cutter content — I want people to walk away feeling seen, feeling clear, and knowing their visuals actually work for them. Right now, I’m deep in a passion project that’s shifting my work in a more video-forward direction — launching Fall 2025. I’m collaborating with incredible women across mental health, wellness, fashion, and interior design, and building brand assets for speakers who are ready to show up big and real.

This next chapter feels like the beginning — and it’s only getting better from here.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Before the world told me who to be? I was a kid who saw stories everywhere — in faces, in houses, in the way people moved through a room. I was always paying attention. Curious, observant, a little bit rebellious, and probably too honest for my own good.

I’ve always been drawn to the in-between moments — the real, raw parts people usually hide. That version of me still exists. Honestly, I think I’m just circling back to her now — the one who trusted her gut, cared more about connection than perfection, and wasn’t afraid to do things her own way.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes — there were definitely moments I questioned everything. But there have been even more moments that reminded me why I started. The clarity, the alignment, the people I’ve worked with, and the growth I’ve felt within myself have always been louder than the doubt.

I’ve learned that staying the course doesn’t mean it’s always easy — it means I’ve chosen to trust myself deeper than before. And that’s what I’ve done, over and over again.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
100%. What you see is what you get. I don’t have the energy to perform for people or put on some curated version of myself.

I’m the same person whether I’m behind the camera, in a meeting, or just hanging out with my friends. I think that’s why the work feels real too — because I don’t fake it.

Of course, not every part of me is for everyone — but the version I share is real. Always.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Definitely. I’ve always done my best work before anyone was watching. Praise is nice, but it’s never been why I show up — it’s always been me putting in the work, trusting it would matter later.

The truth is, some of the best work you’ll ever make happens when no one’s paying attention. That’s when you find out what you’re really made of — when it’s just you, your ideas, and how far you’re willing to take them.

I’d rather be proud of my work in silence than loud and empty with nothing real to show for it.
