We’re looking forward to introducing you to Stefani Michelle. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Stefani , thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What do you think is misunderstood about your business?
People don’t understand what Shadow Work is or how metaphysics works. I find that most people don’t really understand energy or the power of the mind. It has been hard for me to sell myself or create a clear branding without sounding too woo woo or too generic. I find there are a lot of boxes that I fit into yet none at all. Because I can see, feel and hear energy in a way that doesn’t require my eyes or my ears, it is miss-perceived as woo woo, mystical or a gimmick by a lot of people. There is very little knowledge out there on how this all works scientifically. It is however something that is actually firing in my brain and something that can be accessed by anyone. Most people are just weighed down intellectually by cultural, environmental and static noise. Because I have never lost this ability to see, feel and hear energy I can find the hidden script and emotions that my clients are having a hard time identifying within themselves.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Stefani Michelle, author of Chakras and Shadow Work and founder of Primal Heart Healing. For over 30 years, I’ve been helping people reclaim their confidence, clarity, and inner peace through intuitive coaching, chakra healing, and shadow work. With degrees in Arts, Communication, Leadership, and Education, I bridge the wisdom of the mind and the soul. As an Interfaith Minister, Reiki Master, and lifelong Yogi, I’ve spent over 40 years in the metaphysical world, studying how energy, emotion, and the subconscious shape our reality. My sessions combine intuitive guidance, energy work, and trauma-informed insight to help you release what’s been hidden beneath the surface — the fears, patterns, and energetic blocks that have quietly influenced your life. Through this process, you’ll learn to heal your energy centers (chakras), reconnect with your authentic self, and awaken your power.
I currently offer one-on-one intuitive healing sessions and am developing a series of bite-sized shadow work journals for those who want to deepen their journey between sessions or begin their healing independently.
I’m also collaborating with retreat partners to launch transformational chakra and shadow work retreats in 2026 designed to help you embody healing on every level — mind, body, and spirit.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
What Breaks Us — and What Brings Us Back Together
What breaks the bonds between people — and what restores them?
It’s a question with many faces and even more emotions. While we could list the actions that hurt us — betrayal, silence, judgment — what I see most often at the root of disconnection, whether in romantic or platonic relationships, is attachment and expectation.
Every one of us holds an image of how things should be.
We carry perspectives shaped by our experiences, personalities, and wounds — and we expect others to see, feel, and agree with them. When they don’t, it feels like rejection. We take it personally. We feel unseen. But often, what’s really happening is that two souls are speaking from their own center, trying to be understood through the lens of self.
True healing begins when we release the need for others to understand us exactly as we do ourselves.
When we soften our grip on expectation and bring that focus back inward — to our own integrity, our own standards, our own energy — we create space for connection to return.
I’ve witnessed relationships completely transform when people stop trying to make others follow their script, and instead choose to listen, accept, and allow.
When we release expectations, we open the door to grace — and in that space, love has room to breathe again.
When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
When did you stop hiding your pain — and start using it as power?
For much of my life, I wanted to give up.
There were seasons of deep depression, moments when I wanted to stop the train altogether. In my youth, I swung between euphoria and despair, never quite finding balance. Emotional regulation became my life’s focus long before I knew the language for it.
My experiences — the mix of childhood trauma, emotional intensity, and unrecognized sensitivities — created a perfect storm for either strength or suffering. Every day, I had to choose which path I would walk.
At a young age, I began to see that the very things that caused me pain were also my greatest gifts. The sensitivity that once overwhelmed me became the same channel through which I could understand, feel, and help others heal. My wounds became my teachers, and my shadows became guides.
I am still reconciling these parts of myself — and I suspect I always will. Healing is not a single event; it’s a lifelong dialogue between pain and purpose. But today, I can look at my scars and see strength. I can stand in my truth without shame. I can use my experiences as fuel for empathy, compassion, and wisdom.
And that’s the power of shadow work:
to look into the darkness without fear and find the light waiting inside it.
🌕 Reflection for Your Journey
Where in your story have pain and purpose intertwined?
What emotions or memories are still asking to be seen?
Can you imagine your suffering as sacred initiation — the forge that’s shaping your strength?
Your pain is not proof of weakness. It’s evidence of your depth — and it’s from that depth that your healing begins.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
There are a few I hold sacred — values that feel so essential to the soul that without them, life begins to lose its color. You might already guess them from the name of my work: Primal Heart Healing.
Before I share what they are, I want to take you somewhere — to the Blue Zones of the world.
These are regions where people often live to be a hundred or more, not because of genetic luck, but because of how they live. A docuseries exploring these areas reveals something profound: despite being scattered across the globe, the people who thrive the longest share the same ancient values.
They move their bodies every day.
They eat clean, real food grown close to the earth.
And most importantly — they live in community.
These aren’t new ideas; they’re the oldest truths we have.
From the dawn of humanity, long before modern wellness trends, we’ve thrived through connection, movement, and nourishment — the three pillars that make us human.
When we return to these primal values, something inside us remembers. Our hearts slow down, our energy balances, our spirits soften. We begin to live in rhythm again — not chasing, not escaping — but simply being.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I love this question, because for me, the truth is both. It has always been both.
Looking back, I don’t think I was ever told to follow a path that wasn’t mine. In fact, most of the people who guided me saw things in me long before I was ready to see them myself. But that didn’t stop me from fighting it every step of the way.
I’ve always wanted to discover who I am without direction — to find my magic in the wild, messy way that only living can reveal. I wanted to make my own mistakes, to test my limits, to fall apart and rebuild from the ashes on my own terms.
And I did. Many times.
I’ve made glorious, beautiful messes — and I’ve cleaned them up with just as much heart. Every collapse has been a classroom. Every repair, a revelation. And when the dust settles, I often find that the people who knew me best, who saw my potential long before I believed in it — were right all along.
The only thing I’d change about this journey is how my resistance affected others.
If I could go back, I’d bring more gentleness to the people who loved me through my defiance. I’d take ownership for my choices sooner. But even that, I now see, was part of my becoming.
Because sometimes, what we’re born to do isn’t about what we choose — it’s about who we become while resisting it.
