Story & Lesson Highlights with Kelly Martinez of We travel to you!

Kelly Martinez shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Good morning Kelly, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day are centered around being present and starting with intention. I get my son ready for school, drive him to the bus stop, and then take a morning walk. During that walk, I practice gratitude—focusing on the things I’m thankful for and setting a positive tone for the day. It’s a peaceful moment just for me, where I reflect, recite affirmations, and breathe in fresh air before diving into work. That time helps me ground myself, stay connected to my purpose, and show up as my best self for the day ahead.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Kelly Martinez, founder of Permanent Jewelry Club — a fast-growing brand rooted in creativity, connection, and community. What started as a mobile business has now grown into a storefront locations, with exciting plans to expand to other states through our licensing program. I’m passionate about creating opportunities for women to thrive, whether that’s through learning a new skill, launching a business, or finding their voice in the beauty and aesthetics space. Permanent Jewelry Club is more than just jewelry — it’s a movement to help women shine in every sense of the word.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The relationship that most shaped how I see myself is the one I’ve built with my son. Becoming a mother gave me a deeper sense of purpose, patience, and resilience. It taught me to lead by example — to show him what it means to dream big, work hard, and believe in yourself. Through motherhood, I’ve learned to embrace my strengths, accept my imperfections, and lead both in my business and life with heart and intention.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, there was a time I almost gave up — and it turned out to be an important lessons in persistence. We were at an event that had light foot traffic. It felt discouraging, and I remember seriously considering packing everything up early. But instead of quitting, we decided to stay and make the most of it. That choice paid off — we ended up selling a surprising amount of jewelry and, even more importantly, booked two private parties that brought in even more business down the line. That moment reminded me that success doesn’t always show up right away, but staying the course can lead to unexpected wins.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I’m deeply committed to growing Permanent Jewelry Club into a nationally recognized brand, with locations across the United States. It’s not just about expansion — it’s about building something meaningful that empowers others, creates community, and brings a little extra sparkle to people’s lives. No matter how long it takes, I believe in the vision and the impact we’re making — and I’m all in for the journey.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What are you doing today that won’t pay off for 7–10 years?
Today, I’m investing time and energy into growing Permanent Jewelry Club’s brand and expanding our franchise network across the country. Building a strong, sustainable business with multiple locations and a loyal community takes patience and persistence. While the payoff might not be immediate, I’m committed to the long game — knowing that these efforts will create lasting impact and opportunities for years to come.
