Story & Lesson Highlights with Chef Danilo Suarez of Mesa

Chef Danilo Suarez shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Chef Danilo, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What is a normal day like for you right now?
Hello once again it’s Chef Danilo Suarez your Medicated Chef. Very happy to be back to share some of my story. A normal day for me is waking up around 6am to do exersise going to work after to manage the restaurant. Also setting up future events and cooking new amazing dishes that I love. I do like making content for my social platforms and partnering up with other influencers to make content. I try to stay as busy as possible to market the Medicated Chef brand. I also seek influence and great flavor by reviewing restaurants on google by the name Chef Danny.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My brand is Medicated Chef and what I do is provide a customized gourmet edible experience made for you. It’s made to order so all products are fresh. This is what makes this special because you get to pick out different flavor profiles, your favorite goodies to eat, family recipes you want to make into an edible, lessons on all this, pop up and private infusion dinners. I love connecting with people through cannabis and food so this was the best way to live out my passion by creating the Medicated Chef

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Basically my whole life has been involved with food. With about 30 years in the service industry I’ve worked every position a restaurant has to offer. I was also a private chef for a while back east before helping clients with meal prep and private functions. I’ve been apart of all type of concepts and cuisines that has made me pretty experienced in my career. I have learned many flavor profile and techniques over the years. I am very thankful, appreciative to all my teachers, mentors and chefs that have been apart of my journey.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
The one thing I would say thank you for never giving up on yourself. When it gets tough and situations get bleak you never gave up you kept pushing to finish. When it’s seems like things are to tough you find a way to finish strong. When it’s wrong you make it right and you are a great friend to those that have been there for you.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
If you know me you know me. What you see is what you get but if you ask me a question or two you might get more than you can chew as the saying goes. I offer a lot more than just great food, good laughs, and edibles. I am faithful to family, friends, business relationships. I respect people and that stay true to themselves. I post what I want to share with the world, but when you meet me in person it’s the same person you see. Follow me on all social platforms to find out when you meet me you can compare for yourself. GOOD VIBES & GOOD TIMES.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
I think the biggest thing is changing my diet. Making sure that you are not eating processed sugars or food with a bunch of preservatives. Definitely to be more aware of the foods I eat. Also cutting out foods that cause issues with weight and causes health problems. Portion control and eating more foods that are alive like greens and veggies is essential for a healthy lifestyle. Sometimes just eating less is a great way you start your health journey.
