Story & Lesson Highlights with Addie Hidalgo of Gilbert, AZ

Addie Hidalgo shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Addie, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
Get up at 4:30am and off to the gym by 5am, then go home & have my tea!

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi! My name is Addie, and I’m the founder of The Body Bar and Halo Yoga—two wellness-driven brands created from my deep passion for self-care, holistic healing, and empowering others. At The Body Bar, we specialize in unique, deeply relaxing experiences like the Japanese head spa, body sculpting, and lymphatic drainage, blending luxury with intention. At Halo Yoga, I offer popup yoga classes, sound healing, and host immersive wellness retreats.

What makes my work special is that it’s rooted in authenticity, healing, and community. I’ve built these businesses from the ground up—guided by faith, hard work, and the belief that everyone deserves to feel good in their body and mind. I also mentor students through The Body Bar Academy, helping them turn their passion into purpose.

Right now, I’m focused on expanding both brands, I just opened my second location in North Scottsdale, training the next wave of beauty professionals, and continuing to create sacred spaces where people can reset, reconnect, and feel renewed.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
My earliest memory of feeling powerful was the first time I helped someone feel seen and cared for, I was young, maybe a teenager, and I remember realizing that my presence alone could shift someone’s energy. That felt powerful—not in a loud or forceful way, but in a quiet, grounded way that stayed with me.

It was the moment I understood that healing, empathy, and intention are powerful tools. That you don’t need a title or a stage to make an impact—you just need to show up fully as yourself. That realization lit a spark in me. It’s what shaped my journey into wellness, entrepreneurship, and teaching others to own their own power too.

What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear that held me back the most was the fear of failure of putting my heart into something and it not working out. I was afraid of being judged, and of proving my inner doubts right.
But the truth is, you’re never fully ready—you just start. And once I started betting on myself, even when I was scared, things began to shift. I realized that failure isn’t the opposite of success—it’s part of the process. Letting go of that fear was like unlocking a door that had always been open—I just finally had the courage to walk through it.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
yes, absolutely.

There’s so much power in choosing to show up as your whole self. When your public and private versions align, there’s a deep sense of peace and confidence that comes with it. You no longer feel the need to perform—you just are. And that authenticity? It’s magnetic. It gives others permission to do the same.

It’s not about sharing everything—it’s about being true in whatever you do choose to share. That’s real alignment. That’s real leadership. And it sounds like you’re already living in that space. Keep going.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people say that I was someone who led with love, intention, and passion—that I created spaces where people felt welcome, loved and inspired. That I lived my best life & That I showed others how to believe in themselves by believing in myself first.

I want them to say I poured into people, not just with my hands or my work, but with my heart. That I built more than businesses—I built communities, confidence, and connection. That I lifted others while I rose.

Most of all, I hope they remember me as someone who was real. Who wasn’t afraid to evolve, take risks and to walk in faith. A woman who left the world softer, stronger, and more beautiful—just by being herself.
