We’re looking forward to introducing you to Saul Sutton. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Saul, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What’s the most surprising thing you’ve learned about your customers?
The most surprising—and honestly humbling—thing I’ve learned about our customers is how many brilliant, passionate, and visionary leaders are quietly drowning behind the scenes. These are founders and business owners who’ve built something special but are now stuck in the daily chaos—wearing too many hats, solving the same fires over and over, and losing sight of the very reason they started their business in the first place.
What’s even more surprising is how often they blame themselves for the struggle. They think if they just work harder, longer, or hire one more person, things will “click.” But the truth is, it’s not a personal failure—it’s a structural one. They don’t lack hustle; they lack the right systems, strategy, and support. And that’s exactly where Letsscale comes in.
At Letsscale, we meet leaders at that critical breaking point—and help them pivot from reactive execution to strategic growth. We’re not traditional consultants dropping off a slide deck. We’re operators. We’ve been in the trenches, and we know how it feels to be overwhelmed by competing priorities and unclear direction.
That’s why our first step is always our Clarity Intensive—a fast, actionable assessment that uncovers exactly where the gaps are in strategy, operations, or team accountability. It’s designed to give founders a sense of control again, and to help them clearly see where fractional executive support—like a COO, Chief of Staff, or systems architect—can immediately take weight off their shoulders.
What’s most rewarding is seeing the shift. Within a few weeks, they’re breathing again. They’re making strategic decisions instead of putting out fires. They start to remember why they built the business in the first place.
Letsscale exists because leaders shouldn’t have to choose between growth and peace of mind. With the right structure and the right people—even part-time—you can have both. That’s the heartbeat behind what we do.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Saul Sutton, and I’m the founder of Letsscale, a fractional professional services and management consulting firm built specifically for small to mid-sized businesses and VC/PE-backed startups.
Letsscale was born from a very real tension I’ve lived myself: the pressure of having a big vision, being responsible for people and outcomes, and constantly being pulled into the weeds of daily execution—with no time to build what actually scales.
Before starting Letsscale, I led operations at Amazon and scaled startups from the inside out. But no matter the industry or size, I saw the same patterns—founders and CEOs with brilliant ideas stuck in reactive mode, constantly solving problems instead of driving growth. I started Letsscale to change that.
What makes us unique is how we blend strategic clarity with hands-on execution. We’re not consultants who show up with a playbook—we’re operators who build systems that run. Our model is built on productized services that get results fast—like our Clarity Intensive, which helps leaders diagnose operational gaps and create a clear roadmap in just a few days.
From there, we plug in fractional executives—COOs, Chiefs of Staff, Heads of Ops—who drive transformation without the cost or commitment of a full-time hire. We also build scalable systems that align people, processes, and platforms—so our clients stop managing chaos and start building momentum.
At Letsscale, we believe growth doesn’t come from doing more. It comes from doing what matters—better. And we walk that out every day with our clients.
Right now, we’re focused on bringing this new consulting model to more founders—especially here in Arizona—who are tired of trying to figure it all out alone. We’re helping them reclaim time, reduce burnout, and finally grow with clarity, not complexity.
Because when leaders are supported, businesses scale—and lives change.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The relationship that’s most shaped how I see myself—both as a man and as a business leader—is my relationship with God. My faith is the foundation of everything I do. It informs how I lead, how I serve, and how I make decisions—not just in life, but inside Letsscale.
I believe business is a platform for impact. It’s not just about profit; it’s about stewardship. That’s why we’re committed to giving 10% of Letsscale’s profits to support individuals and families in need—whether that’s through local outreach, global missions, or helping someone get back on their feet.
I know what it feels like to be supported when you’re struggling, and I carry that same heart into every client relationship. I want our clients to know that when they work with Letsscale, they’re not just building a better business—they’re also contributing to something bigger than themselves.
For me, success isn’t just about what we build—it’s about how we build it and who we uplift along the way. That’s what keeps me grounded, and that’s the spirit that shapes Letsscale every day.
What’s something you changed your mind about after failing hard?
For a long time, I believed that working harder was the answer to every problem. That if I just pushed more, stayed later, took on more responsibility, I could fix anything. But after hitting burnout, losing time with family, and nearly losing sight of why I started in the first place, I realized: hustle without clarity is a slow death for any leader or business.
That failure taught me something I carry into every client engagement today—effort isn’t the bottleneck; alignment is. You can’t outwork a broken system or unclear vision.
That’s why Letsscale exists. We help founders and executives stop running in circles and start building with clarity. We do it by focusing on the few things that drive real momentum—strategy, systems, and leadership. We call it “doing what matters—better.”
Failing taught me that rest is not weakness, clarity is not a luxury, and asking for help isn’t a step back—it’s often the first step forward. That shift changed how I live, lead, and help others scale without sacrificing what matters most.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
Integrity—always. At Letsscale, we don’t cut corners, oversell, or chase growth at the expense of our values. We believe in doing what’s right, even when no one’s watching—even when it costs us a deal or delays a win.
This value is personal to me. My faith teaches me that how we build matters more than how fast we build. That’s why we lead with honesty, deliver on our word, and treat our clients’ businesses like they’re our own.
We’re not here to impress—we’re here to create real, lasting transformation. And that requires deep trust. Whether we’re plugging in a fractional COO, guiding a founder through a tough season, or saying, “You don’t need us right now,” our clients know we’re in it for the right reasons.
Integrity is what gives our work meaning. It’s the culture we protect at all costs—and the reason people come back, refer us, and build with us long-term.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people say that I showed up with integrity, led with heart, and helped others believe in what was possible—even when they couldn’t see it themselves.
That I wasn’t just building businesses, I was building people. That I created space for leaders to breathe again, to lead with clarity, and to scale without losing themselves in the process.
I hope they say I made complex things simple. That I brought peace into chaos. That I didn’t just talk about faith, generosity, or purpose—but actually lived it. That I treated people with dignity, listened when it mattered most, and gave more than I took.
And when they talk about Letsscale, I hope they say, “That wasn’t just a consulting firm. That was a movement that helped business leaders lead well, live well, and leave something meaningful behind.”
At the end of the day, I don’t want to be remembered for what I built—I want to be remembered for who I built it for, and how I made people feel along the way.
