Today we’d like to introduce you to Louisa Khovanski
Hi Louisa, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi, my name is Louisa, I was born very far away from Arizona, in small contry town on the south east of Ukraine. I was working as a photographer for many years, but in 2019 I decided to start my social media career with pages on Instagram and Youtube. I hit 1 million of followers in 2020 and now all over my pages I have more then 7 millions of followers, wich is very exciting I must say. My work consist of creating content for very different social media, it should be entertenting, eyecatching, sometimes funny. During my career, I was able to create a personal brand, wich became very popular across the web. In 2024 I started streaming on Twitch, in two month I was able to become a Twitch parnter, wich is very fast result. Right now I am trying to grow my streaming channel more, because I believe that in world of fast growing AI – streaming is something that will stay only for humans, at least for some time.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It wasn’t a smooth road, I faces a lot of difficulties. I am from south- east of Ukraine, when war started my town was occupied and I lost everything I had there, years of work, ivestments and basically everything. I stared from scratch in North America in 2022.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in creating visual content for Youtube, Instagram, X, Tik Tok, Threads and Twitch. There are many ways I can name my work, I prefer – blogger or content creator. When I just started, I had huge inspiration from Peter McKinnon, he is huge canadian filmmaker, video blogger. I tried to learn a lot from him and add to already exsiting knowladge that I had. I believe combination of my skills as a photographer and good storytelling on Youtube helped me to develop personal style which helped me to grow my brand. In 2023 I took a leading part in a music video – “Destruction Manual” by german rock band Lord of the Lost, same year this band represented Germany on Eurovision. In a music video I was playing role of alter ago of Chris Harms, – leader of the band. It was very cool and interesting experience, which really helped me in my goals as an Instagram model.
Right now I am working on my digital horror novel, wich was inspired by small folk village on the north of Ukraine. This is very ambitious project, which I need to focus more in next year.
I believe that my blog became so popular because I just was myself, if I would try to wear masks I would fail. So stay true, as they said!
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Trust your inner feelings, sometimes it is not about facts and overthinking, sometimes it is about what Universe is trying to tell you within small hints. Be brave, never give up and don’t really care what other will think. Unfortunately there always will be some people who will try to drag you down.
