Rising Stars: Meet Crystal Valentina Price of Mesa

Today we’d like to introduce you to Crystal Valentina Price.

Hi Crystal Valentina, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
“The sole purpose of human existence is to kindle a light in the darkness of mere being.”
— Carl Jung

My journey into teaching began when I became a mother in 2013. As a single parent navigating depression and anxiety, I felt called to grow—not only for myself, but for my daughter. After more than a decade working as a photographer, I knew it was time to step into something new, something that aligned more deeply with my spiritual path.

That calling led me to the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts (SWIHA) in Tempe, where I completed their advanced Yoga Teacher Training. I fell in love with yoga, breathwork, meditation, and sound healing. More importantly, I fell in love with teaching the practices that had helped me cultivate peace, resilience, and a sense of inner belonging. I wanted to inspire others to take active part in creating the lives they desire.

I soon began facilitating events aligned with the cycles of the moon and the seasons, guiding weekly community classes, assisting and teaching at SWIHA, and leading sound healing trainings. Holding space for others feels like my true calling—one rooted in reminding people that they are already whole, and that connection to Source is never lost; the feeling of separation is only an illusion.

Recently, I stepped back from teaching to grow our family, and we welcomed our little boy earlier this year. Motherhood has once again invited me into a profound chrysalis of transformation, and I continue to grow through it with openness and gratitude. Now, I’m excited to reconnect with our community and begin offering events and trainings once again.

I’ll be returning this December with new classes at The Booch Haus in Mesa and The Unwinding Space in Tempe, and I look forward to sharing this next chapter with you.

You can find a list of my upcoming events and subscribe to my newsletter on my website.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My journey as a teacher is that of being a lifelong student. I am continuously learning, growing, and integrating, with the hope that it positively influences those around me. Like the natural cycles of blooming and resting, my path has included seasons of expansion and contraction. I have moved through challenges with emotional and physical health after profound grief. And, I have also experienced seasons where everything aligned with ease—through connection, opportunity, and miracles.

Life is polarity and vibration. Every challenge offers growth, and when we stay open, life has a way of shifting us exactly where we need to be.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I offer meditative yoga experiences that blend guided Yoga Nidra, breathwork, sound healing, and gentle somatic movement. My classes are designed to help students reconnect with their truest selves—free from the labels, expectations, and past burdens that weigh us down.

What sets my work apart is the integration of intention and forgiveness rituals, along with the natural rhythms of the moon and the seasons. These elements support deep emotional release, alignment, and renewal. Together, they empower students to reclaim their inner authorship, becoming the artists of their own lives and creating their personal masterpiece.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
The qualities that I believe contribute most to my success are integrity, humanity, and tenacity. In this field—where we share practices rooted in yogic principles like the yamas and niyamas—it’s essential that we truly walk our talk. Living in alignment with our truth naturally inspires others to do the same.

At the same time, we cannot sacrifice our humanity in the pursuit of divinity. We are meant to feel, to be messy at times, and to grow through our experiences. Allowing ourselves to be fully human is part of our spiritual path.

And finally, tenacity is everything. If you have a message to share, share it—whether your audience is one person or a million. Keep showing up. Someone out there needs the medicine, the wisdom, that only you can offer.
