Meet Ryan Moreno of DJRM Entertainment

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan Moreno.

Hi Ryan , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
This whole adventure kicked off with a love of all things music and performance. Since discovering theater in middle school, I have performed in all sorts of roles over the years. Professionally I have experience in; DJing, Dancing, and Acting. Trained early on at the California State Summer School of the arts, my earliest passion was taking the stage as an actor. I performed many lead roles in a variety of plays, then went on to do some small roles and background acting in Hollywood. Eventually I found my way into to becoming a Disneyland Character. I performed at the park for 6 years, playing a wider range of characters, including Buzz Lightyear. After having to set down my mouse ears due to an injury, I didn’t know what else to do with my love for making magic. Looking for solutions, I had already been DJ’ing for many years at this point. My love for art of mixing, music festivals, and House music had been in full force. Through a friend I met working at Disney, I was already had several years of experience as an Insomniac Performer. I had traveled to the across world, to places like Japan and Mexico City. Clowning, acting, and dancing on stage at the largest traveling EDM festival, EDC ( the electric daisy carnival) for several years.

A few other performers I knew from there had been working for DJs companies and doing their own gigs. It inspired me to get out there myself. I worked for the largest DJ company in the Los Angeles area for 8 years until moving to their AZ office in early 2022. During those years I played every kind of event you can imagine. From backyard birthdays, to spectacular upscale weddings. Grand openings to Galas. Local golf Tournaments to Soirées at the Ritz. However, It was here in Phoenix that I found the strength and courage to go out on my own. Last year I created my own DJ Business, DJRM Entertainment. It has been my greatest journey yet, filled with both trying and rewarding times. I couldn’t be more blessed to be having this experience, and feel very fortunate for every Gig that I book. There is nothing more rewarding than the smiles and happiness, life-long memories, and everlasting joy that I am allowed to help create for my clients. Knowing that have found a way to keep spreading the magic has been one of my favorite reasons to jump out of bed each day. Of course, I have had the rock solid support of my unshakeable fiancé, my family, and many friends I have been lucky enough to pick up along the way. Phoenix has been a place that has taught me many things about myself, and what I am TRULY capable of accomplishing. It was where I kicked a decade long alcohol addiction, it’s where I met my girl, its where I have found a place to become the best version of myself. I couldn’t be filling with more gratitude, and look forward to years of providing my absolute best in DJ/MC services to Phoenix, and the surrounding areas.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I wouldn’t imagine anyone has a smooth road! I am still relatively new as a business, so there have been a challenges as expected. Learning how to do the paperwork right, dealing with unfair reviews, budgeting correctly. I’m learning at a rapid pace with laser focused attention. However, what has kept me right in toe with the next step, is progress. I make adjustments, do more research. learn from the mistakes. As I see the streamlining of my process beginning to take shape, that progress feels incredible. We are so lucky these days to have a computer in our pockets to do research on any subject at any time. I still may have may lessons to learn, but I’m convinced the growth is what keeps life interesting.

DJRM Entertainment is a DJ Company ran by myself, DJ Ryan Moreno. I specialize in bringing the Vibes! I provide, Professional DJ/MC services with over 10 years of experience and hundreds of private events under my belt. I offer Private Event and Wedding packages. Additionally, I offer a wide variety of Lighting upgrades including the ever impressive Disco Ball. Recently, The Barn on Higley (a hot new wedding and private events venue in Gilbert) have asked that I become the preferred DJ vendor for their brand new gorgeous space. I do all the in house DJ bookings for their team, and it’s been an honor to work with and get to know their crew.

As for the music and Equipment aspect of all this, I use industry standard professional equipment and specialize in EDM or House events (including weddings) but am extremely proficient in open genre (general party/dancing music)

What matters most to you?
What matter most is that my clients had a better than they could have imagined. Thats life. I expect that if there is a God, the first thing they’ll ask when you meet them, is if you had a good time. Thats my job, to help you and yours to create memories that will last till the very last song. What matters is that business is conducted in a professional and respectful way, so that we can all keep having best time experiencing this weird world together. What matters is that we all leave at the end of the night with a smile on our faces, no matter what obstacles we overcame as a team to get there. What matters is that you can recognize yourself in those around you, and celebrate all that is life together.
