Today we’d like to introduce you to Kim Worswick.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I always wanted to get into interior design, but didn’t want to go to school for it. I was a stay at home mom for 3 years and then decided, I needed to pursue this career. I was hired by a firm as a Design Assistant and was able to work for them for under a year and once I left, I decided it was time to open my firm! I dove in with a strong process and what my niche would be… residential designer with a focus on quick turn around projects who needed minimal renovation work and was mostly concentrated on furnishings only. I fully immersed myself in Interior Design Podcasts and listened round the clock on what other firms were doing and basically picked up the things I could execute quick and easily and my business really took off almost over night since I started. Since I was able to showcase my work quickly, I believe that was the first step to making it success as people needed to see my work right out the gate.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The reason it has been pretty smooth is I have a clear focus on who I am as a designer and what my ideal clients should be. I pay close attention to red flags and do not take on clients who I feel are not a fit… this alleviates a ton of rocky roads that I am able to dodge from a consultation.
Yes, there have been mistakes made along the way, but it’s really on how you handle problem solving that gets you through and the way you make your clients the number one priority that will shine.

I am the most energetic, easy going, talented interior designer in Chandler, AZ focusing on quick turn around residential designs who creates a curated, bright and functional design for each client. I am super proud that I can create something so magical with little renovation and allow my clients a second chance to LOVE WHERE THEY LIVE!
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
When I was little, I would wait each day for my dad to come down the long street in his car so, that I could hop in and drive the rest of the way home! Pure joy!
