Today we’d like to introduce you to Isa Perez.
Isa, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
As a proud Latina daughter of Mexican immigrants, I’m eternally grateful for the sacrifices they made so I could blossom and share my passion with the world. My journey in the beauty industry began at just 16 years old. What started as a hobby and creative outlet quickly grew into weekends filled with events like homecomings, proms, quinceañeras and weddings before even graduating high school.
My love for beauty deepened when I started working at Sephora where I grew as a seasonal employee to operations manager. There, I gained experience in leadership and customer service, and sharpened my artistry by teaching makeup classes to customers.
Soon after, I pursued an education in aesthetics and lasers treatments, which gave me a deeper knowledge of ingredients and the confidence to work with all skin types, tones, and textures.
This path lead me back to freelancing—only this time, I was ready to build something of my own. From working on set for BravoTV, to glamming clients in destinations like Greece and Italy, I’m beyond grateful to live out my passion and connect with such incredible souls along the way.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Life is all about learning, and boy did I learn! I’ve had a fair share of hiccups along the way—from clients not paying, to begging for support from loved ones, to being judged for putting myself out there on social media, and even walking away from environments that didn’t value me or my artistry. When I face setbacks, the best thing I can do is pause, breathe, and reflect:
“What is this teaching me?”
“What can I improve?”
Don’t let the bumps in the road keep you down. At the end of the day, your passion and drive for your craft needs to be stronger than any set back.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in timeless, romantic bridal hair and makeup that still feels like you. With every client, I strive to create a safe and sacred space where their best features are enhanced and their confidence is amplified. It’s an experience where I, the artist, get to express myself—while the client is transformed into the most elevated version of themselves. It’s a dance of energy where both of us walk away feeling empowered and inspired. Although I’m a one-woman show, I lead with clear communication, timely responses, and intentional care to ensure my clients feel fully supported every step of the way.

What were you like growing up?
I grew up shy and quiet as a little girl. I always looked up to my older sister for a sense of direction—she and I are complete opposites! She was the straight A student, while school didn’t come that easy for me. I often felt like the black sheep of the family and turned to art as my outlet. Which is when my love for hair and makeup began—but I also found joy in writing, music, photography and painting. There’s also a little rebel side of me that still hasn’t fully gone away… but aren’t all artists a little crazy?
