Meet Chris and Alex Herrera of HFarmBulldogs in Glendale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris and Alex Herrera.

Chris and Alex, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Chris: In 2007 I surprised my wife Alex with a puppy. We had just gotten married and wanted to start a family and wanted an English Bulldog because they are one of the best dogs to have around children. She came home from work and there was this eight week old wrinkle little butterball just waiting for a hug. This is how we started with bulldogs. Chubbs was our first EB and was the best dog we could have asked for. We fell in love with the breed and wanted to be able to provide other families with happy healthy puppies to make part of their family.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Alex: English Bulldogs are one of the more challenging breeds due to the extra care they require in the first weeks of life. 24/7 care is needed feedings every two hours and stimulation making sure that all puppies are healthy and consistently gaining weight as well as caring for Mom and making sure that she is taking good care of her pups. My husband Chris and I both work full-time jobs and take time off work to hand raise our puppies the first few weeks with the help of our awesome kids.

Alex: We specialize in English bulldog puppies we breed for health and quality and take pride in our customer service and keeping in contact with all of our customers that become part of the HFARM BULLDOGS family. What sets us apart is we are a family business our kids Abby(11) and Isaac(8) have a huge part in raising and socializing our puppies.

We make sure our puppies are going to good homes and we keep in touch with everyone and are available for support any time we have a private group that we invite all our customers to join to keep us updated on puppy growth and progress.

What were you like growing up?
I grew up with dogs and have always been a animals lover.
