Meet Becca Bunch of Homemade Social

Today we’d like to introduce you to Becca Bunch.

Hi Becca, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I got my start in social media back in 2012, but I like to joke that my career really began in 2006 with my own custom-coded MySpace page! Shortly after college, I turned that early love for the platforms into Homemade Social. Drawing on experience from both the brand and influencer side of marketing, I built the agency into what it is today: a female-led team helping beauty, wellness, food, and beverage brands grow with strategies that are as data-driven as they are on-trend.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The biggest challenge I’ve faced, and one I don’t think gets talked about enough in this industry, is burnout. Back in 2020, business was booming but I had pretty much no boundaries with clients.

When it comes to working in social media, it can feel like you’re always at work. The platforms don’t close, and a trend could break at any point. That “always on” culture is real, and for a long time I was determined to keep up with it.

Eventually I was running on empty and it was starting to affect my quality of life and love for the industry, so I knew something had to change.

Learning to draw boundaries around my own time was a skill I had to actively build. Social media doesn’t require you to be available 24/7… even though it can feel that way.

I built systems into our client partnerships that helped build a solid work-life balance that benefits me and my team to this day! Things like designated office hours, no texts/calls from clients, and halfday fridays have helped keep us happy and refreshed so we’re always putting our best work forward.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Homemade Social?
Homemade Social is a white-glove digital marketing agency based in Phoenix, serving beauty, wellness, food, and beverage brands worldwide. We act as an extension of our clients’ teams, managing organic social media, content creation, influencer relationships, and email marketing. We’re most proud of blending data-driven strategy with on-trend creativity, and of being recognized as a top influencer marketing and UGC agency run entirely by women.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
The thing that might surprise people about me isn’t any single title. It’s that I’m running three different creative operations that each demand a totally different brain. A personal brand where the product is me and my family. An agency where the product is other brands. And the third is a physical beauty product that has to actually sit on a shelf and perform. Most people are wired for one of those. I’m switching between “be visible,” “be invisible,” and “be operational” constantly, and most people watching never clock how different those modes really are.
