We recently had the chance to connect with Lilach Mazor Power and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Lilach Mazor, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
Up at 5:00 AM. Coffee. Always coffee.
Workout by 5:30 — hot yoga @radi8hotyoga_arcadia, Lagree Pilates @labaz , or lifting. That’s my therapy.
Shower, dressed, second coffee, and at my desk by 7:30 AM.
Honestly, those hours are a blur. But they’re mine. They ground me, reset me, and get me ready to run at full speed.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Lilach Mazor Power — founder, CEO, and an entrepreneur at my core.
I’ve spent the last 13 years building Giving Tree Dispensary, one of the only vertically integrated, female-owned cannabis operations in Arizona. We’ve grown from a scrappy startup to a trusted local brand, known for doing things differently — prioritizing service, intention, and community over the industry’s race to the bottom.
But cannabis was just the beginning.
Right now, I’m building Eight Chairs — a wellness and gifting brand for women in their 40s and 50s who are done pretending everything’s fine. We’re tackling perimenopause, sleep issues, hormone chaos, and burnout with science-backed products, microdosed cannabinoids, curated gift boxes, and the kind of humor women send each other in late-night texts. It’s the brand your girlfriend sends you that makes you laugh… and then actually helps.
I’m also exploring new tech and AI tools that help me move at the speed of my ideas — and working on a few projects that combine my love of problem-solving, brand-building, and helping other founders get unstuck and make things happen.
I’m not trying to fit into an industry mold. I build the things I wish existed — and I love doing it.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
100% my parents.
They let me be different — and they supported that difference. I didn’t fit into the academic box we’re all judged by in our early years. I was the classic middle child, a tough teen, full of opinions and pushback. But they didn’t try to tame it — they embraced it.
They made me feel loved, special, and like the sky was the limit… even when I made it hard to believe in that, and even when I didn’t fully believe it myself. I’m so lucky — their belief in me laid the foundation for everything I’ve built.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Just one? You mean… pick one?
Sure. In 2018, my business partner and I split due to completely different visions. (Big lesson: align values and vision from day one.) After the separation, I looked back at the business and saw… a mess. We had been pulling in opposite directions for so long that the culture was off, the team was confused and unmotivated, and financially? Let’s just say we were dipping into personal savings to cover payroll—again.
I almost gave up. I felt like I had nothing left to give.
But my husband? He believed when I was just too beat down to push. He held space for my exhaustion and still reminded me what I was capable of. I’m so glad I didn’t quit—everything changed after that.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
They’ll tell you there will be winners and losers in the race to the bottom. And guess what? when we race to the bottom we get to the bottom. The industry is destroying itself.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What will you regret not doing?
I don’t carry many regrets—like Sinatra said, “Regrets, I’ve had a few, but then again, too few to mention.”
But if I had to name one? I wish I had started more businesses sooner.
That’s when I’m at my best—when I’m building something from nothing, turning an idea into reality. During my cannabis career, I launched a few sub-businesses-brands, but I wish I’d had the bandwidth to do even more.
I’m making up for it now.
