We’re looking forward to introducing you to Victoria Jane Sarver. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Victoria Jane, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
I am finally starting to believe that starting my own fashion styling company is what I am called to do this time in my life. It has been a lifelong battle to step out of my comfort zone and make my dream a reality. I have dabbled with my styling business concept since teenage years, but have always been too afraid to believe in myself enough to officially open a company.
I have been fortunate to have many people see my business potential and encourage me in this direction. The biggest delay in launching a small business has most certainly been my lack of confidence in myself and capabilities.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’ve been styling friends and family since middle school, and that passion never left. Over the years, I’ve explored different paths in the world of fashion — editorial photoshoots for emerging musicians and local brands, lead stylist for runway shows, and curating wardrobes for everyday life.
These days, I’m focused on personal fashion styling. The goal with my company is to help people, however they identify, feel confident and sexy while walking their everyday runway.
My specialty has always been using sustainable fashion to create uniquely curated wardrobes. In shopping a client’s closet, exploring vintage and consignment finds, or supporting local boutiques, it’s one small step towards helping the planet while looking incredible.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who taught you the most about work?
My Grandma Fisher has been one of the biggest influences on the work I do. She was the first to show me how to hunt for hidden gems while shopping sustainably. Early Saturday mornings she’d pick up me and my sibling for garage sale adventures, teaching us how to bargain and see treasure in what others overlooked. My Grandma Fisher taught me how to be confident wearing eye-catching fashion art pieces and work them into whatever decade I was in at the time.
My grandparents Snyder have also had a great influence in helping me appreciate vintage pieces. I have many memories of taking trips to antique shops. Their passion for history taught me to wonder about the stories my fashion pieces would tell if they could talk.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
Failure has always been my biggest fear. For years, the thought “You’re a failure” held me back from officially starting my company. Lately, I’ve been challenging that voice by saying, “Prove it,” and looking at the evidence — my website, client flow, and events — to remind myself I’m still moving toward my dream. That fear of failure has actually pushed me to build a strong foundation for my business and to keep pushing onward. I’m learning to trust my talent and see the progress I’ve made instead of the doubt.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
My business challenges the fast-fashion myth that staying stylish means constantly chasing new trends. Instead, I help clients build timeless, versatile wardrobes that reflect who they are while being sustainable. By curating vintage and consignment pieces—often the originals behind today’s “new” trends—I show people how to stay fashion-forward in authentic ways. My goal is to make each client feel their wardrobe uniquely represents them while educating on both their personal style and choices that benefit the planet.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
Honestly, I do not have a clue if this is what I was born to do, though plenty of people have told me it’s my calling.
I will say, the important thing is that I finally believe and want this path for myself.
I have always had a great passion behind wanting to help empower others to feel confident and sexy in their own skin. No matter how I got here, I am excited to be living this life of a fashion stylist.
