Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Danielle Pino of Scottsdale

Danielle Pino shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Danielle, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Believe it or not, I started roller skating again after 30 years! It’s been such a fun way to unwind and feel like a kid again.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Danielle Pino, and I’m the founder of House of Pino, a design and renovation company I started ten years ago. I specialize in both residential and commercial transformations, bringing fresh life to every space I touch.

I’m an Arizona native, born and raised, and I think that truly sets my work apart. Knowing the Valley of the Sun so deeply allows me to design with a sense of place — to create spaces that reflect the warmth, texture, and spirit of the desert. Many of my clients who’ve relocated here want to experience what it feels like to live like a true Arizona native, and I love helping them achieve that. My roots always find their way into my designs… it’s a blend of authenticity, environment, and personal story.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who taught you the most about work?
My dad definitely taught me the most about hard work. He always believed in my ability to take on more than I thought I could handle. I remember when managing even one renovation felt overwhelming, and he told me, ‘One day, doing just one project at a time will feel too easy — you’ll want the challenge of more.’ And he was right. What once felt impossible has become second nature, and I actually love the pace now. He never underestimated me, and that belief has carried me through every stage of my career.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There were definitely moments I felt like giving up. Especially in the early years of building House of Pino. Running a renovation business isn’t always glamorous; there are long days, unexpected setbacks, and times when things don’t go as planned. But every challenge taught me something about resilience. I learned that growth often hides in the hard days. When I pushed through those moments, I always came out stronger and more certain that this is exactly what I’m meant to be doing.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
I think my closest friends would say I’m grounded, dependable, and creative. someone who follows through and always shows up. They know I approach everything, from design to friendship, with a lot of heart.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people remember me as someone who brought heart and intention into everything I did whether it was a home renovation, a design project, or a relationship. I stayed true to my Arizona roots, honored the spaces and people I worked with, and created beauty that felt authentic and lived in. I work hard, inspire joy, and help others feel at home – in their spaces and in their lives.
