We recently had the chance to connect with Brittney Graf and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Brittney, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
To live boldly—and unapologetically.
For so long, I played small in the name of being “professional,” “palatable,” or “polished.” But the truth is, the most powerful thing I can offer—inside and outside the treatment room—is the truest version of myself.
Not the edited version. Not the version that plays it safe to keep others comfortable. But the version that trusts her voice, owns her magic, and lives it out loud.
I’m no longer interested in fitting in. I’m here to take up space, to lead with heart, to show up in my boldest truth—even when it ruffles feathers.
This chapter isn’t about perfection. It’s about presence. It’s about saying yes to the life that’s been waiting for me the moment I stopped asking for permission.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Brittney Graf—celebrity aesthetician, skin whisperer, and the founder of Zero Nine Day Spa in Scottsdale, where clinical skincare meets couture service. Think: science-backed treatments with editorial energy.
I launched Zero Nine in 2009 because I was over the one-size-fits-all facial factory vibe. Skin is personal, and so is what I do here. Every detail—from the lighting to the bespoke treatments—is intentional, elevated, and designed to deliver real results. I’m not here for fluff. I’m here to transform your skin and the way you feel inside it.
What sets Zero Nine Day Spa is I don’t chase trends—I set the standard. My signature Zero Nine Method™ rebuilds the skin barrier, resets your skin story, and gives you the kind of results that turn heads.
Behind the scenes, I’m building digital tools to make expert-level skincare guidance more accessible, while still keeping it luxe. From exclusive product curations to VIP virtual consults, Zero Nine is expanding—but always with that signature edge.
If you’ve tried everything and nothing’s worked—or you’re just done with basic—I’m your girl. This isn’t just skincare. It’s a comeback. And we’re only getting started.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I was a force—unfiltered, unapologetic, and absolutely unbothered by the idea of fitting in.
Before the world started giving me labels, I was a dreamer. A creator. Someone who wasn’t afraid to break the rules and carve out my own path. I wasn’t interested in the “safe” options—I wanted to build something, to leave a mark.
Growing up, I was that kid who asked why—and never just accepted what I was told. I didn’t see limitations, just possibilities. Before all the noise, I was the girl who knew she was destined for something different, something bigger.
And here’s the thing: The world might try to tell you who you “should” be, but when you listen to your gut, you’re always ahead of the game. The real work is remembering who you were before the world ever got its hands on you—and trusting that version of yourself, unapologetically.
That’s the version I’m tapping into now, every day.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
That resilience isn’t loud—it’s sacred.
Success is shiny. It gets the applause. But suffering? That’s where the real alchemy happens.
When I walked through loss, heartbreak, burnout—when everything felt cracked wide open—it stripped away the noise. It forced me to face myself, not the curated version, but the raw one. The one who had to keep showing up even when no one was watching, clapping, or co-signing.
Suffering taught me to listen deeper. To lead with softness. To see the humanity in every patient who walks through my doors—not just their skin, but their story.
It gave me a depth that success never could. A stillness. A knowing. And it made me realize that grace under pressure isn’t weakness—it’s power.
Truthfully, the glow people see now? That was earned in the dark.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
Dolly Parton. Always, effortlessly—Dolly.
She’s built an empire without ever sacrificing her softness. She leads with heart, humor, and humanity in a world that rewards ego and noise. What I admire most isn’t her fame or fortune—it’s her character. The way she shows up for people, gives without needing credit, and stays deeply rooted in who she is, rhinestones and all.
Dolly doesn’t dominate—she elevates. And that’s the kind of legacy I want to leave. Not just success, but soul.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
That I made people feel seen.
Not just their skin—but their soul. That I used my gifts to heal, to hold space, to help women come home to themselves in a world that constantly tells them to edit, shrink, or be less.
I hope they say I led with heart, that I gave a damn when it mattered, and that I never chased clout—I chased impact. And that somewhere along the way, I made beauty feel like belonging.
