Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Ashley Wineland of Glendale

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Ashley Wineland. Check out our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
I’m a horrible morning person, so my first 90 minutes consist of me mentally motivating myself to leave my bed, go through my routine of breakfast, and getting myself physically ready for the day. I don’t usually have much mental bandwidth to do much else!

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Country firebrand Ashley Wineland is a rising force — a powerhouse vocalist with a million-strong fanbase, fearless drive, and a live show built for arenas. Self-made and road-tested, she’s booked 60+ headlining gigs and rocked festival and fair stages nationwide — all without a label. Along the way, she’s shared the stage with Lainey Wilson, John Michael Montgomery, and Sawyer Brown, learning from the best while holding her own.

Now collaborating with Grammy-nominated producer Marti Frederiksen (Carrie Underwood, Ozzy Osbourne), Ashley’s latest single “Tumbleweed” has racked up 1.3M+ views, with more hits on the way. Her 2025 “Moments in Time” Tour promises a whirlwind of raw energy, heart, and heat. Rooted in Arizona’s rugged cowboy culture, Ashley blends grit and grace — championing veterans, writing from real life, and owning every stage she steps on.

With a voice that draws comparisons to Carrie, Miranda, and Gretchen, Ashley’s not chasing trends — she’s building a movement. Authentic. Electric. Unstoppable. This is country music on her terms — and she’s just getting started.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who taught you the most about work?
My parents are truly shining examples of what it means to work hard for what you dream of accomplishing. Neither of my parents came from an affluent background. Everything they have built for themselves was due to their hard work and dedicated mindsets toward their goals. My mother, for example, was the first of her family to graduate from college, and she accomplished that through a work-study program while also being married with 2 young kids. Their tenacity was a great example for me of how to manage the craziness of life while also thriving in my work environment.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
As horrible as going through the valleys can be sometimes, those moments do teach the most poignant lessons. Those pitfalls teach you about what you fundamentally need as a person to be fulfilled and to persevere. It shows you how deeply you can focus and lock in. Success is great and it brings forth wonderful feelings, but the suffering is what shows you what you are made of and where you get to apply all the lessons you’ve learned.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
I always say that the version of me you meet at a show is the same person you would meet at Walmart (probably not looking as good, but I digress). It’s too hard and miserable to pretend to be someone you are not for the sake of impressing others. I am who I am, good, bad, and all. I hope that my frankness and genuiness is something that others gravitate towards and can appreciate about me.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope that people will speak to my love of bringing joy to others through my art. That I was kind and honest and always there for those I love. That they continue to share the art I made when I was alive and that it continues to touch people and bring them together.
