Lexi Tamburrelli on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Lexi Tamburrelli. Check out our conversation below.

Good morning Lexi, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What is a normal day like for you right now?
A normal day for me is definitely full—but it’s a rhythm I truly love.

I start my mornings early, usually waking up at 5:00 AM to make it to a 6:00 AM Pilates class. It’s my grounding time before the chaos of the day. After that, I head home, get ready, and I’m in the office by 9:00 AM for my corporate job. I work my 9–5, and then the second half of my day begins.

Most evenings, I head straight to my Prep the Party Co. bookings, which typically start around 6:00 PM. I grab dinner somewhere in between, then I’m setting up, running events, connecting with guests, and breaking down—usually wrapping up closer to 10:00 PM. Then it’s home, reset, and do it all again the next day.

The winter season is especially busy in the event world, so I lean into it and maximize that momentum. Even though my days are long, Prep the Party Co. brings me so much joy. There’s something incredibly fulfilling about building a business I love, creating memorable experiences for people, and watching it grow alongside my full-time career.

It’s a lot—but it’s my passion, and that makes it all worth it.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi! I’m Lexi Tamburrelli, the owner of Prep the Party Co., a luxury photo booth and flower wall rental company based in Arizona. I started this business with a simple goal: to elevate events with modern, high-quality photo experiences that feel fun, polished, and unforgettable.

Prep the Party Co. is all about creating moments people want to remember—whether it’s a wedding, brand event, school function, or private celebration. What makes us unique is the combination of premium aesthetics, personalized service, and genuine excitement we bring to every event. I’m constantly updating our technology, backdrops, and designs so each activation feels fresh and customized.

I actually run Prep the Party Co. on top of working a full-time corporate job, so building this business has been a true passion project. Seeing it grow, connecting with clients, and being part of such special moments brings me so much joy. This year, I’m focused on expanding our backdrop selection, forming more corporate partnerships, and continuing to elevate the luxury experience our clients love.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
A moment that really shaped how I see the world was the first time I worked a Prep the Party Co. event completely on my own, from loading the equipment into my car to setting up, running the booth, breaking everything down, and getting home late that night. I remember being exhausted, but I also remember this overwhelming feeling of pride.

It was the first time I realized that I was fully capable of building something from the ground up, even while balancing a full-time corporate job. That night showed me that hard work doesn’t just build a business, it builds confidence, resilience, and a deeper belief in what’s possible.

Since then, I’ve looked at challenges differently. Instead of asking, “Can I do this?” I ask, “How can I make this happen?” It taught me that the life you want is often on the other side of effort, late nights, early mornings, and trusting yourself even before others fully see the vision.

That moment shaped not just how I work, but how I view opportunity, growth, and what I’m capable of creating.

What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear that held me back the most was the fear of thinking too small, of believing my ideas were only meant for a certain level. When I first started Prep the Party Co., my original plan was simple: I just wanted something fun to bring to my sorority events. I never imagined it would become anything bigger.

Because of that, I hesitated to put myself out there. I worried that my business wasn’t “big enough” yet or that I wasn’t ready to take on more. But as I started getting inquiries from schools, graduation parties, birthdays, and eventually corporate gatherings, I realized the only thing limiting the business was my own mindset.

Pushing past that fear changed everything. What started as a small idea for sorority events has grown into something I never could’ve pictured, from packed winter seasons to becoming an approved vendor for the Milwaukee Brewers.

It taught me that sometimes the biggest fear isn’t failing, it’s accidentally keeping your dreams small. And stepping beyond that fear opened the door to opportunities I never would’ve reached otherwise.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
I would say the public version of me is real, but it’s the polished version. What people see at events or online is genuinely who I am: friendly, driven, organized, and excited about creating memorable experiences. That part is completely authentic.

But like anyone balancing a corporate job and a growing business, there’s also a more tired, behind-the-scenes version of me, hauling equipment late at night, problem-solving on the fly, and managing the not-so-glamorous parts of entrepreneurship. That version doesn’t always show up on social media, but it’s just as real and just as important to the story.

I think the public me reflects the heart of who I am, but the full me includes the hustle, the late nights, the learning curves, and the determination that people don’t always see. At the end of the day, both versions exist because I care deeply about what I’m building, and I want Prep the Party Co. to be a brand that feels genuine, joyful, and human.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people say that I was someone who truly went for it, that I built something meaningful from the ground up and didn’t let fear or limitations stop me. I hope they remember me as someone who was kind, hardworking, and passionate, someone who poured her heart into everything she did, whether it was her corporate job, her relationships, or Prep the Party Co.

I want people to say that I made others feel special, celebrated, and seen. That I brought joy into rooms, made memories for people, and created experiences that lived far beyond a single event. And I hope they say I inspired them to chase the thing they love, even if they had to start small or juggle a lot to get there.

More than anything, I want to be remembered as someone who showed up with integrity, creativity, and genuine care—and left a positive impact on the people around her.
