Today we’d like to introduce you to Shannon Horton PhD.

Hi Shannon, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?

The biggest updates of where I am today are I have received my PhD in Philosophy of General Psychology with an emphasis on cognition and learning. I love helping individuals overcome their inner limitations because everything is consciousness and there is only consciousness. You believe it, it is.
Living my life as if all I desire is already done. In general, the majority of the population were not taught how important our emotional states are to creating the reality we desire or the reality we do not desire. Shifting self-talk to create emotional states that match in frequency to our desire is necessary for a magical miracle filled life. I heard Dr. Joe Dispenza say, “Our personality is our personal reality”. This is very true. We have to change our inner perceptions and beliefs about who we are and about the world in order to create the external reality of this.
Mastering this is the key to overcoming our limitations. This is where I grow and learn daily where my inner limitations are and shift them. I enjoy helping others do the same.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
A smooth or difficult road is all about perception. I am at a place where I am very grateful for the bumps in the road as I have realized everything is working for my best. Every challenge helps me to see who I want to be and become the best version of myself.
I have never met a person who would say that their journey has been struggle free. I have met individuals that rise above the struggles and are grateful for them. They realize that the struggle actually was a pivot point in their lives if they chose to take it. I have met individuals who have stayed stuck in the past of the struggles and it becomes their personal reality. Challenges are choice points. Choosing a different perception, action including choosing to believe one can rise above and all works out amazing.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Happiness Matters, LLC is a division of Beyond Spiritual Healing LLC.
We provide public speaking and workshop presentations on personal development topics including mindset, happiness, and manifestation frequency in the workplace. We teach about interpersonal and communication skills. Happiness Matters offers executive and team coaching sessions.
Beyond Spiritual Healing is where I help individual clients with one-on-one coaching sessions. I use my intuitive medium skills combined with my well-rounded behavioral health, somatic and holistic training to help individuals overcome themselves and thrive. My business started as a psychic medium speaking to those who have passed to give individuals more peace. My business has become so much more in the 24 years I have been serving clients.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
I have so many childhood memories. I am one of those individuals who have memories from one year of age and up. Since I spoke about manifestation, my first big manifestation was winning a magic kit when in kindergarten. Greener Elementary School in Cincinnati, Ohio had an after school function for the students and parents. We each received a raffle ticket. I wanted the magic kit. I felt it was mine and I won. I would say this was the start of my journey.
