Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’m the founder of SASIY, a premium massage oil company inspired by my passion, my roots, and a deep love for natural wellness. I have over 20 years of experience as a licensed massage therapist in both Thailand and the United States. Massage has always been a part of my life not just as a career, but as a way of healing, connection, and care. I also truly love receiving massage myself.

Throughout my career and travels, I’ve experienced massages at countless spas around the world. While many were incredible, I noticed that even in some 5-star spas, the massage oils didn’t meet the standard I expected especially for someone like me with very sensitive skin. Many oils were greasy, irritating, or even caused rashes. I realized there was a real need for better, skin-loving oils made with integrity. That frustration sparked an idea: to create a natural, skin-friendly massage oil that feels as good as the treatment itself.

That’s how SASIY was born. Starting SASIY was not easy, but I took it one step at a time learning, growing, and trusting the process. I tested different formulas, sourced the best natural ingredients, and worked closely with other massage therapists to make sure the oils supported their techniques and enhanced the client experience. Every product was also reviewed and tested by expert herbalists and licensed massage professionals to ensure safety, quality, and effectiveness.

In 2023, SASIY Original Thai Herbal Massage Oil was honored with the Top Beauty Awards, organized by the Asian Industry Group and the National Broadcasting, Television, and Newspaper Association of Thailand. Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not at all it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. My journey with SASIY has been full of learning, trial and error, and determination. One of the biggest challenges I faced early on was finding a reliable manufacturer. I purchased and tested countless oil samples from different companies, trying to find the perfect formula. When I finally found one I liked and placed my first production order, the oil I received was nothing like the sample it was poor quality and unusable. I ended up having to throw away the entire first batch, which was a huge loss. Unfortunately, I had to repeat this process several times before finding a manufacturer I could trust to deliver consistent, high quality oils.

Then came another issue: packaging. At first, everything seemed perfect no leaks, secure bottles but with the next shipment, the packaging started leaking and caused significant damage. After a lot of back and forth, we finally resolved it by sending our own selected packaging to the manufacturer to use. That decision eliminated the issue, but it took time, money, and a lot of frustration to get there.

Even after solving those problems, we faced another major obstacle: limited resources. SASIY is a small business with a small team, and unlike big companies, we don’t have a huge marketing budget. That’s been one of our biggest challenges getting our name out there without the support of big capital. We’ve had to rely on word of mouth, community support, and a lot of personal effort to grow.

But through it all, I never gave up. Every challenge taught me something. It’s made me stronger, more careful, and even more passionate about delivering a product I truly believe in.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is to trust the process and never give up even when things don’t go as planned. Building SASIY has taught me that setbacks are not failures; they’re part of the journey. Every challenge from bad product batches to packaging issues to limited resources taught me something valuable. It forced me to be patient, to adapt, and to keep moving forward one step at a time.

I’ve also learned that quality and integrity matter more than anything. When you create something with heart, with purpose, and with care, people feel that. It takes time to grow, but if you stay true to your values, your work will speak for itself.

Finally, I’ve learned that being a small business isn’t a weakness it’s a strength.
It allows me to listen closely to my customers, build real relationships with the people I serve, and create something truly meaningful. That’s what makes SASIY special.
