Hi Majo, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey started from a simple desire: to snack with my kids worry-free. As a holistic nutritionist and mom of two, I wanted snacks that were as wholesome as they were delicious. I noticed a gap in the market – snacks were either packed with sugar or lacking any real nutritional value. So, I set out to change that. My goal was to mimic the flavors we love in traditional snacks but make them better with clean, simple ingredients.
After lots of testing and tweaking, we launched with three original flavors: Almond, Chocolate, and Peanut. From there, we’ve expanded to offer a variety of seasonal and permanent flavors, all crafted with the same dedication to quality and taste.
And let’s not forget Midi Kids – snacks designed with kids’ health and happiness in mind. As a mom, I’m most passionate about Midi Kids. They’re 100% nut-free and school snack-approved, made with high-quality, clean ingredients, and low in sugar. Plus, they’re created with kids’ favorite snack flavors, making them a hit with little ones and parents alike.
At Midi Bites, we’re on a mission to redefine snacking. With vegan, gluten-free, non-GMO, and organic options whenever possible, we’re here to make snacking smarter and more enjoyable for everyone.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The journey of building Midi Bites has been incredibly rewarding, but like any entrepreneurial venture, it hasn’t been without its challenges. One of the initial struggles was finding the right balance between taste and nutrition. As a holistic nutritionist and mom, I was committed to creating snacks that were not only delicious but also nourishing. It took a lot of experimentation and fine-tuning to achieve that perfect balance where taste wasn’t compromised by the use of clean, wholesome ingredients.
Another challenge was navigating the competitive landscape of the snack industry. With so many established brands already in the market, breaking through and gaining visibility required strategic marketing efforts and perseverance. Building brand awareness, especially as a new player in the industry, was a gradual process that required patience and persistence.
Additionally, scaling the business while maintaining our commitment to quality and sustainability posed its own set of challenges. As demand for Midi Bites grew, ensuring consistent access to high-quality ingredients and reliable production processes became increasingly important. We had to invest in building strong partnerships with suppliers and distributors to support our growth while upholding our standards.
Despite these challenges, each obstacle has presented an opportunity for growth and learning. Through perseverance, creativity, and a steadfast commitment to our vision, we’ve been able to overcome hurdles and continue moving forward on our mission to redefine snacking with Midi Bites.
