Today we’d like to introduce you to Brooklyn Dream.
Hi Brooklyn, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My name is Brooklyn Dream. I’m a recording artist born in Seattle, but I proudly represent the Bay Area. I’ve been performing since I was three years old, and entertaining people has always been a part of who I am.
In my late teens, I found another creative outlet through content creation. I built an audience on TikTok by making comedy videos, dancing, and going live to connect with my viewers. At the same time, music became my true passion. I honestly can’t remember a time when I didn’t love music, it has always been in me.
When I was 15, I recorded my first song in a home studio. Looking back, it wasn’t the best environment to start in, but it was enough to make me realize this was something I wanted to master and pursue seriously.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to perform as a dancer and entertainer alongside incredible artists and brands. I’ve appeared at Showtime at the Apollo, in a Microsoft commercial, worked with Apple, America’s Got Talent, Mattel, and performed on stage more than 100 times at events across the United States.
Today, my focus is on expanding my fanbase and taking over the West Coast one state at a time before reaching audiences nationwide. My latest releases are especially meaningful because they showcase different layers of who I am and allow listeners to get to know me on a deeper level. As I continue to grow, I also want to share more of my life and creative process through content, giving people a behind-the-scenes look at the journey I’m building.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but every challenge has shaped the artist and entrepreneur I am today.
Early in my career, I was fortunate enough to accomplish many of the dreams I had as a young dancer. I performed alongside artists I looked up to, won national championships, and experienced opportunities that many people spend a lifetime chasing. Those moments taught me what excellence looks like and gave me the confidence to pursue an even bigger vision through music.
At the same time, I’ve had to learn how to build my career largely on my own. Beyond creating music, I’ve had to understand branding, marketing, business, networking, content creation, and the countless moving pieces that come with being an independent artist. Growing up with professional training instilled a level of discipline that has carried me through every obstacle, but that doesn’t make the journey any less challenging. Every new level comes with a new mountain to climb.
One of the biggest turning points came when I had to relocate to Arizona because of an unexpected family emergency. Overnight, I stepped away from what felt like my entire world in the Bay Area—my studio, my creative team, my engineers, videographers, collaborators, closest friends, and the environment where I felt most inspired. That transition was incredibly difficult, and adapting to a completely new chapter while continuing to pursue my career has been one of my greatest personal and professional challenges.
Ironically, that experience inspired something much bigger. In late 2023, I founded LabelMe, a community built to help independent artists learn, connect, collaborate, and support one another. Looking back, I realize I created the kind of community I was missing after leaving my creative family behind. It reinforced something I’ve always believed: success in this industry is never achieved alone. Talent matters, but so do relationships, mentorship, and having a team that believes in your vision.
Those experiences have changed the way I approach my career. They’ve made me more resilient, more intentional, and even more committed to building not only my own legacy, but opportunities for other independent artists to grow alongside me.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a recording artist and content creator who documents life through music, fashion, and storytelling. Everything I create is an extension of who I am, whether that’s a song, a performance, a fashion look, or a piece of content. My goal has always been to build a world that people don’t just listen to, they can be a part of.
As an independent artist, I wear a lot of hats. I write and record my own music, develop my creative direction, perform live, create content, and build my brand from the ground up. My content reflects my real life, from time in the studio and on stage to my love for fashion, beauty, wellness, gaming, and even crocheting. I don’t believe artists have to fit into one box, and I think people connect with authenticity more than perfection.
What I’m most proud of is my ability to stay true to myself while continuing to evolve. I’ve spent over 20 years in the entertainment industry, and every experience has raised my own standard for excellence. I’m constantly learning, refining my craft, and challenging myself to become a better artist and creator.
What sets me apart is that I don’t separate my creativity into categories. Music influences my fashion, fashion influences my performances, and my everyday life fuels the stories I tell through content. My audience gets to experience every side of who I am, not just the polished final product. I want people to see that you can be feminine, competitive, artistic, entrepreneurial, and unapologetically yourself all at once. That’s the world I’m building, and I think that’s what makes Brooklyn Dream different.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is that consistency will take you further than talent ever will. You can’t create only when you feel inspired or motivated, you have to create because that’s the commitment you made to yourself. The dream doesn’t change just because the day gets hard.
I’ve also learned not to hold myself back out of fear or perfectionism. As artists, we spend so much time wondering if a song is good enough, if a video is ready, or if people will understand our vision. The truth is, you’ll never know what piece of content changes your life unless you’re willing to put it into the world. You never know what song will resonate, what performance someone will remember, or what opportunity will come from simply showing up.
One of the biggest mindset shifts for me was realizing that my only competition is the person I was yesterday. I don’t measure my success against anyone else because everyone has a different journey. My goal is to outwork, outlearn, and outperform the previous version of myself every single day.
Most importantly, I’ve learned that authenticity is a strength. As performers, it’s easy to become performative and create based on outside expectations. But the work that connects the most is the work that’s honest. When I stopped creating for validation and started creating from a place of genuine expression, everything became more meaningful, not just for my audience, but for me as an artist.
If I could leave anyone with one piece of advice, it would be this; trust your vision enough to stay consistent. If you’ve been given a dream that’s bigger than you, it’s because you’re capable of growing into it. Keep showing up. Your breakthrough could be one song, one performance, or one video away.
