Conversations with Ambar Mach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ambar Mach.

Hi Ambar, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Our business actually started during COVID, when the world felt heavy and everyone was desperate for something fun to bring people together again. My husband has always loved photography, and I’ve always been obsessed with creating backdrops, props, and all things visual. One day we saw a post on Instagram that combined both our passions so perfectly it practically jumped off the screen.

We started researching local parties, weddings, and venues and realized there was a huge opportunity to bring something fresh, joyful, and memory‑making to our community. What began as a “hey, maybe we could do this…” quickly turned into “oh wow, this is exactly what people need.” And that’s how our little idea turned into the business we’re proud to run today.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road definitely hasn’t been perfectly smooth. Our biggest challenge has honestly been time, we both still work full‑time and stay active in community volunteer work, so carving out hours to grow the business has been a juggling act. On top of that, we’re naturally more introverted, so stepping into spaces like Wedding Expos and vendor events pushed us way outside our comfort zone.

But we believe in what we’re building. We believe in the joy it brings people. So even when it feels awkward or exhausting, we show up, talk to strangers, shake hands, and share our passion. Every time someone lights up using our setup or tells us we helped make their event more memorable, it reminds us exactly why we keep going.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We’re best known for our photobooth, it’s the heart of what we do and the thing people instantly gravitate toward. Guests get to dress up, play with props, be silly, be glamorous, and walk away with a keepsake that captures the moment. But we didn’t want to stop there. We love bringing extra joy to events, so we added backyard games like Giant Jenga, Giant Connect 4, and our electronic two‑player basketball setup. They’re perfect for cocktail hours, receptions, or any event where people want to mingle and have fun.
And then there’s our 16‑foot inflatable movie screen, our wildcard favorite. It’s amazing for showcasing wedding or engagement photos, creating a cozy backyard movie night, or turning any gathering into something memorable and unexpected.

At the end of the day, we specialize in creating experiences. Whether it’s a photobooth moment, a competitive round of Connect 4, or a giant screen lighting up the night, we’re known for bringing that playful, interactive energy that makes people say, “Oh wow, this is fun.”

One of the moments we’re most proud of happened at a wedding where guests kept telling the bride and groom that our setup made the night the most fun they’d ever had at a wedding. They were playing games, watching the couple’s love story on the big screen, dressing up for the photobooth, and just letting themselves be silly and joyful.

Traditional photos are beautiful, but they’re often posed and polished. What we bring is the opposite, playful, spontaneous memories that kids, grandparents, and everyone in between can enjoy. Hearing guests say we made their night unforgettable… that’s our “why.” That’s the part that makes all the work worth it.

What really sets us apart is the experience we bring. Sure, we offer a photobooth, but it’s everything around it that makes people remember us. The props, the games, the giant movie screen… all those little “extras” turn an event into something interactive and unforgettable. Guests don’t just take photos; they play, laugh, compete, watch, and make memories together.

That combination of fun elements creates moments people talk about long after the party ends, and it’s exactly why so many of our clients become repeat customers. We don’t just show up with equipment. We show up with energy, creativity, and a whole lot of joy to help our clients Make Memories.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
Risk is baked into starting any business, you pour in time, money, energy, and hope without any guarantee it’ll take off. For us, the biggest leap was simply deciding to go for it. We kept coming back to that idea of “nothing ventured, nothing gained.” You can’t build something meaningful if you never get off the couch.

So we took the risk. We invested. We showed up. We tried. And our mindset has always been: if it works, Amazing! we get to bring joy to people and grow something we’re proud of. And if it doesn’t, at least we’ll know. At least we won’t spend years wondering what if. The “what if” is the worst regret there is, and we refuse to live with that.

For us, risk isn’t about being fearless. It’s about being willing to try, even when you’re scared, even when you’re unsure, because the possibility of creating something beautiful is worth it.
