Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexis Peralta.
Hi Alexis, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
My name is Alexis Peralta, and I am a Wife, Mother, Business Owner, and Artist. I am Chicago-born and raised, but moved to Arizona after graduating high school to attend University to pursue a degree in Game Art and Animation. I have been here ever since. As someone who loves gaming and creating art, I was absolutely ready to combine my two passions into one career.
However, Upon Graduation I found myself working for the State of Arizona doing Project Management. Turns out I also have a passion for that as well! I went from knowing nothing about the profession to being a seasoned Project Manager who has worked all over the place, from government, consulting, tech start-ups to nonprofits.
Project Management helped me grow out of being a shy, quiet, self-conscious bud and blossom into a confident, driven, professional who loves to inspire others through determination and creativity.
There are many other things that make me other than my profession! I love to cook delicious meals, I stay healthy and serene by doing yoga in the morning, I enjoy reading different works of fiction, doing home projects, and of course creating art!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I love the saying, “The best things in life are worth fighting for.” Because I truly believe that. I came from a less-than-ideal background. Fatherless household, raised by a single mother, homeless and moved homes and schools almost every 1-2 years, and both of my brothers were in the penitentiary.
The struggle was real, and though my mother may not have been able to give me everything, she made sure I was educated and fed. Having had that experience being at the bottom I aspired to move up in the world.
Fast forward to now, I have a career I love, a business I am building, my creativity is flourishing, I am in a loving marriage with a wonderful, hardworking, and hilarious husband, and I am living in a wacky household with my stepdaughter, mother, cats and green iguanas!
During my journey, I met my first mentor, who inspired me to start my own business. He was a contractor consulting under his LLC. He shared his wisdom and stories of his long career history, from starting at the bottom of the totem pole to being a CEO with a corner office, to only working for himself. Being the go getter that I am in 2021 I founded AP Specialties.

My work is my passion, which is why at AP Specialties, our slogan is Your Vision, my Specialty. I specialize in Project Management, Visual Design, and Game Art. All three are my areas of expertise and passion. I seek creative and technical projects that are inspiring, innovative, interesting, unique, and everything in between.
I prioritize quality and relationships with clients. When you work with me you are getting premium service specialized to your request. I have worked with a unique variety of clients, such as rappers, podcast hosts, nonprofits, small businesses, and start-ups. All for different types of projects which is the best part about having this business. The pure variety of it all from working with different people and industries.
