We’re looking forward to introducing you to Christina Silva. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Christina , thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What is a normal day like for you right now?
Most days start pretty early for me—I’m either teaching a spin class or training a client first thing in the morning. From there, I grab coffee, quick breakfast, and then dive into check-ins, creating workout plans, or filming content for my fitness clients and social platforms. Depending on the day, I’ll squeeze in my own workout or take some time to reset before the afternoon picks up. Some evenings I’m back teaching or working on brand content. It’s a mix of coaching, content, and staying active—no two days are exactly the same, but that’s what I love about it.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Christina Silva—a personal trainer, spin instructor, co-founder, and content creator passionate about helping women feel strong, confident, and connected to their bodies. I work with busy women who want to build muscle, tone up, and feel good in their skin—without extreme diets or spending hours in the gym.
Right now, I’m working on building my fitness brand StrongHer Club, a monthly membership focused on strength training with a mix of dumbbells, bands, barbells, and machines—designed to be flexible and realistic for women at any level. I’m also working with wellness and lifestyle brands as a UGC creator, helping bring their products to life through relatable, everyday content as well as a co-founder for a protein company called LiveComplete, a plant based protein brand.
What makes my approach unique is that I meet women where they’re at. I know what it’s like to juggle a busy schedule, and I’ve built my programs to make fitness feel doable, not overwhelming. Whether I’m coaching a spin class, training clients, or filming content, my mission is the same: to help women feel strong, not just physically but in every part of their lives.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
My earliest memory of feeling powerful was when I was about 5 or 6 years old, standing at the front of a cheerleading routine. I still remember the feeling of excitement and nerves, but once the music started, it was like something clicked. I was leading the chant, full of energy, and the crowd was cheering along with us. Even at that age, I felt this spark—like I could take up space, use my voice, and help bring people together. It was the first time I realized how empowering it felt to move with confidence and be part of something bigger than myself.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, definitely. When I first started my fitness career and decided to branch out on my own, it was one of the hardest transitions I’ve ever made. Going from working under someone else to running everything myself—training clients, building my brand, managing the business side—it was overwhelming at times. There were moments I questioned if I could really make it work or if I should just go back to something more stable. But deep down, I knew I was meant to create something of my own. I reminded myself why I started—to help women feel strong and confident—and that kept me pushing forward, even when it felt like everything was stacked against me.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
One of the biggest lies my industry tells itself is that you can’t have balance. There’s this myth that to be successful in fitness—whether as a trainer, instructor, or creator—you have to sacrifice everything else in your life. Like you have to be “all in” 24/7, always grinding, and that rest or downtime means you’re not serious. I’ve learned that’s just not true. True success comes from finding a sustainable balance—showing up fully for your clients and your work, but also taking care of yourself, your relationships, and your mental health. Ignoring that balance isn’t just unhealthy, it’s unnecessary. It’s time we stop glorifying burnout and start embracing a more balanced, realistic approach to fitness and business.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m moving my body in a way that feels good—whether that’s teaching a spin class, going for a walk, or just stretching after a workout. There’s something grounding about connecting with my breath and my muscles that helps quiet the noise in my mind. I also find peace in the small moments—like sipping a cup of tea in the morning or taking time to unplug and be present with loved ones. Those simple moments of stillness help me recharge and stay centered.
