Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan Edmondson
Hi Ryan, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started DJing in North Carolina in 2022, I played small time shows, venues, and was a DJ for my fraternity. I transferred from High Point University to Arizona State University in August of 2024, where I started DJ’ing at a couple private events and bookings 5 days into moving here. I then have been booked and am a resident DJ at Casaamigos Taco & Tequila where I DJ 3-4 Times a week every week now. I am 21 years old as of August 1st, I have gained over 100k+ streams for my own original music and have some new stuff coming out soon!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road at all, I get into a sort of writing block a lot when I produce originals for my sets and gigs, but I also feel like I get stuck with my creativity sometimes, but I have connected with a lot of people in the industry where I can go to them or just watch them at their shows to gain a little inspiration or collaborate on an idea.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am known for my music taste, and crowd control ability. When I get up on the DJ Booth you’re gunna hear everything from 80’s disco to country, but they’re upbeat original remixes bringing people an experience they have never had before.
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
I went to a small college prepatory school in Saltsburg, PA called “The Kiski School”, where I was not impacted by COVID-19 as others. I was reluctantly able to not be affected because of the precautions and measures the school took to keep us safe.
