Check Out Kayti Stull’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kayti Stull.

Hi Kayti, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started Snuzzle Swag because of my French Bulldog, Nisse, who has a big personality and sparked the idea to create apparel that truly reflects a dog’s individuality
When we brought her home at 8 weeks old, I found myself wanting something more personal for her, something that felt comfortable, fun, and truly reflective of her personality. That’s what led me to start creating my own designs and eventually launch my shop to help other dog owners customize shirts for their pups too.
What started as a small creative outlet turned into a side hustle, and over the past couple of years, it’s grown into a business I’m incredibly proud of. I invested in my own printing equipment, expanded my designs, and built Snuzzle Swag into a brand that focuses on both fun, personality-driven apparel and functional pieces for dogs that need clear messaging, like service dogs or dogs in training.
More recently, we added another Frenchie, Hobs, to the mix, and he’s brought even more personality and inspiration into everything I create.
Today, I’m continuing to grow Snuzzle Swag while balancing my full-time career, with the goal of eventually turning it into my full-time business. At its core, it’s about celebrating dogs as family and creating something that brings joy to both pets and their people, and that’s what keeps me motivated every day.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a completely smooth road, but that’s part of building something from the ground up.
One of the biggest challenges has been balancing a full-time career while growing Snuzzle Swag on the side. There’s a lot that goes into running a small business, from designing and production to customer service and fulfillment, and learning how to manage my time efficiently has been a huge part of the journey.
There’s also been a learning curve with equipment and printing. For the most part, I’ve built and run the business myself, figuring things out as I go, but my husband has recently stepped in and taken over handling all things printer-related, and helping with quality control, which has been a huge help and allowed me to focus more on design and growing the brand.
Another challenge has been learning how to grow beyond platforms like Etsy and build my own website and brand presence. That shift takes time, effort, and a lot of trial and error, especially when it comes to marketing and driving traffic.
Overall, while there have been challenges, each one has helped me improve the business and become more confident as an owner. It’s all part of the process, and I wouldn’t trade the experience.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I create custom dog apparel that blends personality, function, and fun. Everything I design is meant to reflect each dog as an individual. Whether that’s something playful and expressive or something more purposeful that communicates a need or role when they’re out in public.
What I specialize in is bringing a dog’s personality to life through what they wear. That can be fun, humorous designs, but also more purposeful pieces like shirts for service dogs, dogs in training, or rescue dogs that need space or clear boundaries when they’re out in public. I’ve found there’s a real need for both, something that’s expressive but also practical.
I think what sets Snuzzle Swag apart is the balance between customization and quality. Every order is made with attention to detail, and I take a lot of pride in making sure each piece feels personal to the customer and comfortable for their dog. It’s not just about the design, it’s about how it fits into everyday life.
I’m also very hands-on with the entire process, from design to production to customer interaction, which allows me to keep a high level of consistency and care. Being able to connect directly with customers and see their dogs wearing my designs is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
What I’m most proud of is building something from the ground up that resonates with people. Seeing repeat customers, getting photos of their dogs, and knowing that something I created brings a little extra joy. That’s what makes it all worth it!

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I love most about Phoenix is how dog-friendly it is, people here really treat their pets like family, and there’s such a strong community around that.
The heat is definitely the hardest part, especially in the summer, since it limits how much time you can spend outside with your dogs. But it’s also made me more thoughtful about creating pieces that are comfortable and realistic for everyday life here.
