We recently had the chance to connect with Bryheem Charity and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Bryheem , thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What makes you lose track of time—and find yourself again?
When it comes to Flavors 2 The Max, I lose track of time dreaming, creating, and connecting with people.
I can get so locked in when I’m developing new flavor ideas, building out the brand experience, or thinking about how we can use something as simple as Italian ice to bring families together and support schools. There’s something powerful about creating a product that brings joy, comfort, and community all at once.
I also lose track of time when I’m out serving people, watching kids pick their favorite flavor, seeing families smile, or hearing someone say, “This made my day.” That’s the kind of energy that pulls me in and reminds me that what we’re building is bigger than dessert.
Flavors 2 The Max isn’t just a business for me it’s a platform for connection, impact, and community, and that passion makes the hours disappear.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Bryheem Charity and I am the Founder and Chief Visionary Officer for Flavors 2 The Max. Flavors 2 The Max is a dessert shop that known for our premium Italian-ice brand that blends unforgettable flavor with family-centered experiences featuring our mascot Maximus the Scientist, who guests can meet in store. We serve high quality, allergen-friendly treats and offer unique science themed moments like our famous Root Beer Chemical Reaction Floats served in beakers, where the rooter billows and “combusts” with dry ice, all while supporting youth through school partnerships with our “Flavor Hours” and STEM educational initiatives.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
I remember graduating from college when my high school varsity basketball coach invited me back to speak to his players about my college experience and to show them that you can go professional in life without ever stepping into the NBA. Speaking life into those young people sparked something in me. It gave me purpose, direction, and a passion for pouring into the next generation. A few years later, that spark grew into a movement. I founded an organization called Science 2 The Max, which now inspires and impacts thousands of young people across the nation.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
The road hasn’t been easy. When I moved to Phoenix, AZ with no family, no support system, and a dream bigger than my resources, entrepreneurship felt heavy. There were moments when I almost gave up, when the loneliness, the setbacks, and the pressure made me question everything. Still, every time doubt tried to creep in, I remembered why I started. I remembered those kids who looked to me for guidance, the communities I wanted to impact, and the vision placed on my heart. That “why” kept me moving forward.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
I would say yes! the public me is the real me.
I make it a priority to show up as my authentic self in every space I step into. I believe that’s why people connect with me and with my brand. My journey resonates across social and economic lines: growing up in poverty, becoming a first-generation college graduate, traveling the world, and experiencing early success.
When people hear me speak, they hear parts of their own story. They see that if someone who started where I did can grow, evolve, and rise above circumstances, then they can too. My authenticity is not just who I am , it’s the bridge that inspires others to believe in their own possibilities.
My last name is Charity “I always said Charity will be household name that inspire millions.”
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people say that I lived my life serving others, that I used my gifts, my voice, and my journey to open doors for the next generation. I want them to remember that I poured into young people, especially those who came from the same circumstances I did, and showed them what was possible.
I hope they say I was a builder, someone who created opportunities, programs, and platforms that outlived me. Someone who turned pain into purpose, struggle into strategy, and dreams into impact.
Most of all, I hope they say that I was a good father, brother and son that made people believe in themselves again. I hope people say that I sparked hope in places where it was fading, and that I left the world a little brighter, a little more inspired, and a lot more motivated than I found it.
