We recently had the chance to connect with Shauntreis Sproles and have shared our conversation below.
Shauntreis, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Bunny videos. They are such lively, animated, and extraordinary creatures to watch with antics that make me laugh. Yet, they remind me of the fragility of life and the softness of nature’s touch.
They remind me to not take life so seriously, to make time for play, and to eat healthier.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Persistence is key.
Persistence is the thing that has never wavered during my journey towards my calling in life.
I’ve had ups and downs like everyone else, and there have been many times where nothing seemed to stick, from photography to the financial markets. However, I continued to make strides towards my greater purpose.
Each setback became a lesson, every side hustle a skill builder. Over time these scattered pieces have come together, helping me towards my passion for connecting with people and ideas for the greater good.
Today, I now thrive doing jobs that fuel my creativity, curiosity, and ambition. The dream surely didn’t come easy. It has come through deciding time and time again to never give up.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
Lying is definitely a bond breaker. When people lie it breaks bonds that only sincere apologies and time can heal. Sometimes, the situation is so broken and the betrayal so deep, that it cannot be healed.
Sometimes trust, integrity, and respect can be earned back via consistent show of improved morals, consideration for the the other person’s feelings and in actively listening.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Certainly. From being overlooked or antagonized in careers, to hurting for things going on in the world.
There’s plenty to distract us from wanting to continue forward. We have to remember, that life is a gift. Each day is an opportunity and blessing to shine our light, even if we think no one sees or appreciates it.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Where are smart people getting it totally wrong today?
Many people are programmed to think that wealthy and sucessful people are smart and thus deserving of certain privileges. This is exactly where they are getting it wrong. Equating smarts with success is an erred way of thinking. Wealth is not a determinant for one’s intelligence or level of notoriety. Another err in thinking is that being smart or wealthy means that it is okay to be rude and to disregard people, to glorify having other people as servants, or a general disregard for the welfare of others.
Becoming too focused on money and building an empire, instead of investing in emotional IQ and in building your character, as well as failing to invest in others, is a character flaw. It’s important to always be aware of how our actions impact others and to not be self-seeking in our interactions with others.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I feel that I am. I often think I’m not and that I need to be doing more and want to utilize all my talents, but honestly, I’ve been touching lives in all that I do. That’s really the best that I can hope for. I aim to continue to do this in all my endeavors.
