An Inspired Chat with Mollie Larsen of Tucson

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Mollie Larsen. Check out our conversation below.

Mollie, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Outside of work, I’ve been finding deep joy in the simple moments of motherhood. My children are at such fun and curious ages, and being able to experience the world through their eyes has been incredibly grounding for me. Whether it’s watching them discover something new, listening to their imaginative stories, or just laughing together over something silly, those moments remind me of what’s truly important. They give me perspective beyond deadlines and projects. I’ve also been spending more time outdoors, reconnecting with nature and using it as a space to reset. Those quiet moments—family walks, gardening, or simply feeling the sun—bring me back to myself and fill me with gratitude.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Mollie Larsen, and I’m a wife, a mother of three, and an entrepreneur at heart. Since the last time I was interviewed, my journey has grown in many exciting directions. I first began with my lifestyle and personal growth blog AllAboutGoodVibes.com, which was a space to share positivity and creativity. From there, I expanded into running several businesses of my own.

Today, I manage multiple brands across different industries: skincare lines, a handbag brand called Mollie et Moi, and The Wealth Wizard- www.thewealthwizard.education, which is dedicated to teaching financial literacy to kids through books, activities, and courses. Alongside these, I also run a marketing and branding studio where I help other entrepreneurs bring their visions to life.

On top of all of this, I am pursuing my dream of earning a Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship Education. This allows me to combine my real-world business experience with academic research, with the hope of inspiring and equipping future entrepreneurs.

What makes my journey unique is how it weaves together my roles as a mother, creator, and business owner. Each brand I build reflects my belief that business can be both purposeful and practical, and I love finding ways to impact lives—whether it’s helping families learn about money, inspiring confidence through fashion and beauty, or guiding entrepreneurs toward growth.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
I think bonds between people are most often broken when there is a lack of listening and understanding. When conversations are driven more by ego than empathy, when assumptions replace curiosity, and when fear overshadows compassion, trust begins to erode. Many of us, in our busy lives, forget the power of pausing and really hearing one another. That disconnect can create walls even in the closest of relationships.

But what restores bonds is empathy, honesty, and time. When people are willing to be vulnerable, to admit mistakes, and to extend grace, healing begins. Small acts—like truly listening without judgment, apologizing sincerely, or simply being present—have the power to rebuild even the most fragile bridges. Love and forgiveness are the timeless tools that restore connection.

When you were sad or scared as a child, what helped?
When I was sad or scared as a child, I often turned to music. Singing and writing my own songs became my way of processing emotions I didn’t always have words for. Music was my safe space—it allowed me to release fear, sadness, and uncertainty, and in turn, it gave me comfort.

Another source of comfort was my mother. I loved having conversations with her, telling her what was going on in my heart and in my world. She always listened with patience and warmth, and that made me feel deeply understood. Between music and my mom’s presence, I always found a sense of calm and strength, even in the harder moments.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Where are smart people getting it totally wrong today?
I believe many smart people get it wrong when they prioritize being right over being kind. In conversations, in business, even in families, there can be this urge to win arguments, prove a point, or showcase intelligence. And while they may succeed in being correct, the cost is often connection. They “win” the debate but lose the relationship.

At the same time, we’ve elevated intellectual achievement so highly that emotional intelligence often gets overlooked. But wisdom isn’t only about what we know—it’s about how we use that knowledge. It’s about whether we can listen without judgment, extend grace when it’s hard, and lead with empathy instead of ego.

In the end, the legacy we leave isn’t in how many times we were proven right, but in how we made people feel, the bonds we built, and the kindness we chose in moments when it mattered most.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Yes. For me, giving my best is about integrity, not applause. Of course, praise feels encouraging, but it’s fleeting. What sustains me is purpose—the knowledge that my work has meaning and leaves an impact, even if recognition comes slowly or not at all.

I’ve seen firsthand, in both business and education, how seeds planted quietly can grow into something much bigger over time. A child learning to save because of a storybook, a parent feeling empowered to teach their kids about money, a business owner gaining confidence in their brand—those are the quiet rewards that mean more than external praise.

Giving your best even in silence is an act of faith: faith in your values, faith in your work, and faith that what you are building will matter. To me, that’s the essence of living with purpose.
